Zum for Christmas
May family gathers every Christmas at my parents house to exchange gifts. When we were nearly finished last night, my parents came dragging this out for me.
I was overwhelmed to say the least. I am very thankful and proud. Looks like my old Sho-Bud will spend some time in the case while I get to know this beauty. The pictures are a little fuzzy, but I just had to show it off a little.

Larry,
It is used, but it is like new....well taken care of.
Tommy,
Yes you know this baby. When I opened the case, the first thing I saw was your little white sticker underneath. Sorry, but I won't be parting with it anytime soon. It sounds awesome. It's previous owner is a good family friend. I will take very good care of it like I do all of my instruments.

Stephen,
You must have been floored when they surprised you with such a fine steel! Please give us a report of how going from your Sho-Bud to a Zum works out. Great way to start out the new year...I'll bet you were like a kid again with this gift... Take Care and Happy New Year with your new Zum! Carl

Xmas gift
I knew Santa wasn't gonna bring me my dream steel, so I bought my first acoustic/electric flat top. My granddaughter gets the pretty maple old acoustic one.
She is playing Uncle Ken's violin and has a borrowed flat top. She's doing well with her music, so it's time for her own guitar from grandpa and she can play the violin when it fits and the guitar when she needs that!

Thanks again everyone for posting.
Carl,
You wanted a report on going from a Sho-Bud to a Zum. I played a gig Sunday night with my Zum. I have found that the pedals and knee levers are a lot more sensitive....can't rest those legs or feet at all on them. The old Bud could take a little of that. Also the string spacing is a little different between the two...Zum's is a little closer together. I am having to get used to that also. But I am in love with the Zum, it performed great.....wish I could say the same for myself....Ha!
Doug,
Hope you enjoy the new acoustic!
