It is my understanding that Jerry will be playing the Church Service at the Convention Sunday morning. I would very much like to hear him. Can anyone please tell me for sure and what time he will be playing.
Thanks,
Jerry

Well, I turned the computer on at 7:30 and waited and heard the service right up to the finish of my good friend Jack Heern's song then my computer decided to rebuffer and it did so completely thru Jerry Brightman's song. I don't even know what he played. It came back on just as they were talking about HeHaw so I knew he had just played. I just about busted the computer! I did get to hear him on "I'll Fly Away" later and he sounded great. So many of my friends were doing the Worship Service that I felt like I should have been there. As I have told here before, Jerry came to visit me at the Cleveland Clinic right after I came out of heart surgery back in March and has stayed in touch with me and has become a great friend but I had never got to hear him play. I think he must have driven 2 or 3 hours each way just to come visit me. Jerry, it was a thrill for me to finally get to hear you play. You did great. I am looking for some one to gold plate the 14 hole bellcrank Jerry brought me to the hospital and would love to do this and mount it under my guitar. I also enjoyed hearing Doug Jernigan and Jack Heern play. I had the honor of jamming with Doug on stage at the Gospel Steel Convention in Indianapolis 1 1/2 years ago when I did my spectacular bar flipping routine!!! It was a real treat to hear my friend Doug Rolfe's message also. All you guys did great and I finally got to hear Jerry Brightman. What a wonderful thing it was to be able to hear the show on the computer.

I am sorry Mike, I have not had the pleasure of meeting you and I guess I was carried away talking about my friends. I did get to hear you do a wonderful job playing "Because He Lives". The chime ending was very nice also. I did not mean to slight you at all but for me it was like old home week except I was not there! It was also a pleasure to hear the great Rob Parker who I have been honored to have backed at some of the steel shows I have played. I certainly don't want to fail to mention Leonard T. Zinn who sounded beautiful on "What A Friend We Have In Jesus". I got to meet Leonard at the Indy Gospel Convention.

Sorry again Mike, the old memory is failing me but I think I remember you doing one that ended with a nice chime ending, I guess that must have been "How Great Thou Art".

Hi Jerry, Gene, Mike, Evelyn , and everyone Else!
I was invited to play this year for the
morning worship services. My good freinds
Doug Rolfe , Rob Parker, and of course L.T.
Zinn, along with Doug and Jack provided
a terrific program..especially Doug R's
message.

I'll post more about my thoughts and
memories from my first St. Louis show since
1986 in another thread.

This moment was certainly among the
highlights for me.

Thanx fer the nice words. Wish you could have been there ! INTIMIDATION was the word for my feelings playing with these four MONSTERS. I had never met Jerry or Mike before but it was a real preasure Their playing was surpassed only by their attitudes and their show of God's love. As for Doug, what can I say. As for Leonard, my dad said that if you can't say something good , don't say anything
