Tiny or anyone who could tell me what effect or effects Tiny was using while playing w/ Gene Watson. The sound I am looking for is the YOUTUBE clips from The Church Street Station. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osM_dD1NiDQ
Thanks, Greg

This question was asked a few weeks back with no answer.

I do know he was using a Webb as far as the effects
sounds like a mix of thick chrous and delay.

I'd love to here from Tiny too.

I would certainly think is was a Lexicon MPX1. I have one and when programmed right can get that FX sound (delay and reverb). Tiny has commented from time to time on the forum so might get a reply from him. I have tried several rack FX over the years and the Lexicon has something the others don't.
Regards......... Wayne.

Greg, that sound is very similar to what Jeff Newman's effect setup sounded like when I was at his school, hearing it for a full week in 83'. I think it's a slow mod on the chorus, light in the mix, and a fairly heavy analog delay with the repeat (slap) backed off. You'd really be better emailing, or pm'ing Tiny. He's a very nice fella, and I'm sure he'd be glad to answer.
As far as chorus effects, I personally don't think you can get any better than the TC unit. I've used one for several years, and you can make it as subtle as you like, just adding a little sparkle. I also just purchased a TC "Nova" reverb. I have not used it yet, but will later this month.

I hear heavy delay. Sometimes heavy delay can create a chorus-like effect because the played sound is overlaying the echo from what was just played a split second before it. When the vibrato and pitches of what's played and what's echoed get layed together, a chorus like sound can be created with no actual "chorus" effect happening. Just a thought.
