Chiming in with Scranton D-11 #1154 just received from Billy Knowles. Billy did a great job adding 3 knees and getting this guitar into great playing condition. This thing sustains more than my push/pull--and what a sound! I'll probably get it refinished one day, but I kind of like the three tone thing going on. Thanks Billy!

Andrew, that is a beauty. Billy does sime great work. I knew you'd get another ZB. Once you get the "ZB bug" it never goes away. How much does that bear weigh anyway? If only they could make a ZB out of something light...like marshmallows, then I could probably lift one. I too would like to stand in line for pics of Chuck's ZB that he bought from Chris.
Play that ZB well and in good health Andrew!

Thanks Duncan. Your sunburst ZB spoiled me forever. I was actually surprised about the weight of the guitar. It shipped at 74 lbs and weighs about as much as my 71 fatback Emmons D-10 out of the case. I thought the D-11 would clock in at 80+ lbs but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only does Billy do great work but is a pleasure to do business with.

Andrew, if you are interested in a set of split cases for your ZB D-11 email me. I make them. By splitting the cases it takes a solid 22 pounds off the total carry weight. The body case comes with wheels and a spring handle. Makes transporting a ZB a breeze. Hatton Split Cases (716) 691-6527.

My #1107 "Black Beauty". I searched for ten years for this sound. No other brand compares for me. Full restore. It was in terrible condition when I got it.

Greg just sent me pics of the loafer. It is a real loafer never been a D10. Great birdseye maple with rope inlay. White pickup and fingerboard. It looks to
have been blue but has faded. When Greg gets it done
we will put up before and after to showcase his great
work. Oh I almost forgot the pad is a two tone!

Good job Chuck ... keepin' Greg busy! That sounds a bit like Richard's SD-11 with the two-tone pad.

Great steal on a steel.

Howard how cool is that. I saw the little Sho bud on
another post at bobbe's. This little gem has got to be a piece to collect.

Greg sent me pics of the underside of the loafer. He
says this one is a special player. I can't wait to get it. Still don't know if I can afford to keep it
but Greg says after I play it the decision will be made. I will post before and after when I get all the
pics.

One thing I know from years of watching Chick McGill aquire pedal steels is that Chuck always, always, ALWAYS gets some great steels. This one will no doubt be another winner.
Congratulations Chuck, a great find couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
BTW, Geaoge that is a really great ZB you are sitting behind there, at least, I believe that it is you, on account of the picture is posted under your name. Unless some one has somehow, someway overpowered George, gotten his password through torture, or at least waterboarding, which as anyone will tell you cannot be actually called "torture" and outlawed because saying this may somehow aid the terrorists. Anyway, If the posting was not by George, I appeal to you to let him go and please don't hurt him. If it was George, I say again, beautiful ZB.

Here are some pictures of the Scranton D10 I've been restoring. Kevin Hatton Refinned it and I did the rest of the work.
Used it with the band last night for the first time, and got all kinds of complements.

Thanks
Bill

Ebay #140186577789 D-11 6-22-69 s/n 0032.

So when (around what s/n?) did the old logo change to the rectangular "ZB custom"? I know from first-hand ownership that 0064 and 0078 are new-style.
