Firefox locks up ( crash )

Mac updated its security and ever sense Firefox will
not function very long and will lock up , particularly on
news web sites .
Safari seems to work OK .

Is anyone else having this problem ?

is there a way to uninstall firefox ?

Thanks
Bob

Maybe you need a Firefox update. Try "Check for updates" in Firefox's Help menu.

I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.9 with OS 10.3.9 on a Powerbook G4. No issues.

bother firefox . this is a first ! its all worked flawlessly
