Ron, sounds great. Good songs, great natural country singing, and the steel playing fits right in the pocket.

Thank-you Bernie!! I am blushing! Ron says thank-you to! We just want to put up "Country Songs" that can send a message. Good ones! that have steel guitar..and Let folks know...We can " Raise Up The Country Music again".Its time right?
Country Music will only die, if we let it...I will not!! As a song wrter, I will do my best to keep it alive! A steel guitar in a country song, makes it, and thats what we intend to keep...Tradition will live on!!

Karen and Ron/ That Great PA. Up and Coming Country Duet

Post by Bernie Gonyea »

:D :D Karen and Ron; you are so right about Country Music staying alive; and in my book, nothing brings the music to the fore-front more quickly than a good sounding STEEL GUITAR; and Ron surely does that. you folks keep them coming like you are doing and I'm certain lots of the old and some of the new will do just that, but it'll take people like you & Ron to help keep it alive. Naturally with the help of we FORUMITES, whom all love good songs and great steel guitar playing; right?? Guys & Gals..Bernie :whoa: :whoa:

Thanks for listening,,but "Lloyd Green" did all my sessions at the "Barn". As did "Buddy" and "Pig".
These were done at "Bradleys Barn". Ron is playing on the new sessions."Going Home" "Raise Up The Country"..and a song that I wrote for him;called "Steel The Mystery".
I sent this song to my buddy "Lloyd" and he said it was great, and to write more for "Ron" for a Cd.
He said, the song was very haunting..and he loved it!
he said "K- write a whole Cd for "Ron". So, I am doing that as we talk. I will send "Lloyd" all the ones that I think will fit..I look at his judgment of the new songs..as the "Best".

Ok here ya Go Micky. This picture is taken about 3 weeks ago in our home studio where we do all the recordings.
Image
As you can see am I playing a "Nashville LTD" which is(I believe)8 or 9 years old. This is by far the best steel I've ever played.I keep saying this on the forum.....Garry builds probably the best steels out there right now.I run this guitar straight into the board with only a BOSS reverb unit attached to it.Right now Karen and I are shopping for several recorders and software programs.Karen owns her own labels and publishing company. All songs that Karen writes(over 5000 already)are copy written before we release them.A little expensive but it has to be done.To many pirates nowadays.Right now we are very busy to release 3cd's at once before march 2008.Be sure to check them out.
Hope this gives you a little insight in what we are doing.

Ron, thanks for the picture and all the information. I remember chatting to you couple of years back, and you were building your own steels. I thought it might have been one of your own on the track. Good tone, reminds me of a Sho-Bud. If you have a picture of your own steel, please e'mail me at mickybyrne@blueyonder.co.uk ....as most steel players, I'm a glutton for curiousity. An advance Happy and healthy Christmas to you and Karen and indeed all the forumites :)

I've added a very special song on Karen's web space.Just listen to the words and you understand why this is a special song for both Karen and I.
Karen wrote this song for her Grandma that she dearly loved and had to part with to soon.

Not only is this song written for Karen's grandma but for all the grandma's in the whole wide world.
They all deserve a special place in our hearts.

"Heaven Knows"...........they are in our hearts for ever and ever.
