Mike P. has two MSAs with wrist levers. I saw an ad in mid/early 80s (I think) S12 MSA with one.

On the gospel tune, it sounded like he may have the "Franklin Pedal" changes on the wrist lever. Just can't tell for sure, though.

Fabulous pickin', Terry; Is your Marlin the one on the U-tube Clips; a very beautiful guitar; I really love the tone and sustaining power you put out on it. What is this " Wrist Lever" that everyone is asking about? How expensive are they and where can one find one. I owned a D-10 Speedy West [ Marlin ] for nearly 25 years; certainly was a fine guitar. Tery; this tony is an excellent steel player; best sounding Marlin I've had the privelege of hearing. I'm intriqued by the wrist lever; do you know exactly what its' doing, in conjunction with the pedals and knee levers? Where is this Tony Arrowood from, anyway? Does he belong to the SGF? Bernie

Hi Bernie
Sounds to me like he's using the Franklin change on the wrist lever. Some people will put that change on one lever pulling down the 5th, 6th and 10th and then some will split that change,just pulling the 5th on a separate knee lever. Without seeing the guitar it's hard for me to tell you if he's splitting that change. On mine I pull down the 5th, 6th and 10th on one lever. But like I'm saying some people will split that on two levers, just depends on the person playing the guitar.

He's lowering string 5 a whole tone and maybe string 10 with the wrist lever. I've only heard the one tune. I'm moving on. And the string 10 whole tone lower was not used.

The bottom line. String 6 is not being lowered with the wrist lever.It's the Franklin pedal split.Meaning the 6th string lower is on another lever........bb

I received an email from Tony, confirming that the wrist lever lowers the 5th string one whole tone.
