New Continuous Hour of "Swingin' West"- Mike Gross
The September edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" has just come up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week, over and over, for the entire month.
The theme for this month, September, is a little different as I thank, with their music, many of my listener artists of either my Friday live shows or these twangtownusa.com shows. You will hear Connecticut’s Gunsmoke, Texas’ River Road Boys and California’s Stardust Cowboys.
From the Bob Wills band you can also enjoy the great Leon Rausch, as well as the late Billy Bowman, whose brother Jim has been a very supportive “Swingin’ West” listener. Another former Texas Playboy, Herb Remington is heard on a recent recording along with Florida steel guitarist listener, Rick Alexander. Billy Jack Wills alumni, steel guitarist Jay Riley is heard with the Wine Country Cowboys. Other steel players heard are Florida’s Don Sulesky and Jack Stoner and Oklahoma’s Don Powell. Steel guitarist Lou Rochelle is heard as a vocalist from his latest CD and as a songwriter from Nick DeMaio’s latest CD.
Also heard are Johnny Jansen from the Seattle area, the Texas Panhandle Band with Rick Martinez and Hank Pell in the spotlight and a vintage cut by legendary singer/songwriter Ken O’Rourke.
The recorded edition of "Swingin' West" can always be heard by clicking the mouse on the appropriate spot on the bottom of the home page of the "Swingin' West" web site, www.swinginwest.com
Thank You!
