Really nice Jim,hope you will consider doing "He Touched Me",I know you can do a great job on that one too.
I used to come to Mineola years ago to hunt squirrls at my aunts place.Always came home loaded with ticks and chiggers, sometimes a squirrel.

Real nice James. I spent a lot of time in Mineola during the late 40's and early 50's at Jack Rhodes place on Hwy 80 helping demo songs and adding music to song poems. A lot of good songs came out of there. "Satisfied Mind" by Red Hayes and "Silver Threads And Golden Needles" by Dick Reynolds to name a couple. Alot of musicians and singers hung out there. Myself, Billy Bob Turner, Jim Reeves, Bobby Garrett, Al Petty, Billy Joe Spears. Hank Locklin, Curtis Kirk, Big Red and Little Red Hayes, Johnny Johnson to name a few. Those were the good old days. See you down the road, Jody.

Jody, thanks for the comments. I worked with Jack's youngest son, Buddy. My Dad knew Curtis and the Hayes boys. In fact, he is a preacher and he preached the funeral for the Hayes man who was playing for Faron Young when he died. I think most of the old Trail 80 motel where Jack's studio was has been torn down. Curtis's neice is a very close friend of ours. See ya in Dallas in March.

Hey James, good stuff, would love to hear you do a steel piece, without the singing. My kind of music, yessir.
