Emmons Half-Stop Tuners (please see photo)

Post by Lynn Stafford »

I'm in the process of doing a restoration on a couple of Emmons guitars and am interested in buying six of these steel, half-stop tuners with the knurled knob to replace some that were made from allen head cap screws. Does anyone have one or more they could part with?

Here is a photo of the tuners that I'm looking for.

Hi Lynn,
Hey I bought several of these directly from Emmons about a year ago.
'Had to specify that they were for a Push-Pull.

Hi Pete,

I spoke to Ron Jr yesterday and he told me they no longer have or use this type of tuner anymore :(

Best regards,

Lynn

To the top in hopes someone might want to sell me a few of these tuners. Jerry Roller had some a while back and I bought a couple from him. Hey there Jerry, do you have any more??

Thanks,
Lynn

TTT

Does anyone have any of these they would be willing to sell to me with or without the swivels?

Thanks for your consideration!

Lynn,
a friend built me these tuners. I payed him 17,50 Euro for one. I think he can build more but it would be too expensive for you!? (exchange rate $ /Euro)

Half-Stop Tuners

Post by Lynn Stafford »

Horst,

I have some similar to yours that were made by drilling through an allen head screw but I'm looking for the style shown in my photo that seem like they were made just for this purpose.

If no one want's to sell me any, I'll have to try and make do by buying and modifying some knureled 10-32 thumb screws. The only ones I can find so far have a much larger head diameter (ranging from 7/16" to 5/8") then is required.

Thanks for your help though!

Best regards,

Lynn

Lynn, A year or two ago I bought some from Bobbie Seymour and they worked fine. I think they were 8 or 9 bucks a piece. I'm sure he still has them. Give him a call and tell him Whip wants a commission!!!! Good luck.
