I'm certain I have exactly what you want. Chrome is like new as is the top. I didn't use it but only tested it many years ago when I got it. Let me know if you are still looking. I just took a picture of it to send when I figure how to do so with this new phone.

Charles "Chuck" Dorgan

We in Southern Oregon lost Chuck in the last part February at age 87. He suffered several health challenges. Many in Oregon and California may recall the great music he loved to play & sing at various venues. Chuck mostly did vocals & guitar locally in Southern Oregon & Northern CA. He a...

Thank you so much guys. Jim B installed it for me many years ago. I don't recall the year but probably pre 2014. My recall is hazy but I don't think I received an installation disc. I have a very good computer tech who inferred what you were telling me. I relocated recently to California so I tried ...

Transfering BIAB from 32 bit to 64 but failure

I have BIAB in my old Windows 7, 32 bit Dell Latitude. It served me well but the whole exterior case is breaking so I tried to transfer BIAB to my Windows 7, 64 bit Dell Inspirion. I get a advisory box saying it is incapible. I got the program from Jim Baron many years ago. I tried to call him but t...

130 Specials

I have two 130 specials. They are in excellent physical condition except one pops when powering on and off after I had new chips put in it. I kept the old chips. $150. The other is near perfect condition all around. $175

Hi Bill, I have a gorgeous custom made Sierra S12. I was told only two of these were made by Sierra. It sounds beautiful. I bought it from a Forumite years ago. David Wright posted he had played it & agreed with it being first class [paraphrased]. I have hardly played it. Just got to experimenti...

I saw the program on the Waltons that you mentioned. There were some very good Hawaiian sounds on the Rick. I tried unsuccessfully to see credits for who the players or the group was.

Very tasteful. Not so intense as on Pete drakes “my bluest day” recording second half of the song. Maybe Mr. Drake was using something different?

Truly great. I think it was Bobby Garrett that started the trend of improvisation for this song when he did it for Hank Thompson and recorded on the record titled something like “Hank Thompson at the Texas state fair.” As I recall that was circa 1961–1962.

What a great rendition of “crazy.” He gets so much out of that little steel. anyone know how he had it tuned? Thank you so much for sharing. i’ve heard his rendition of this song by him on pedal steel also that I thought was the best I heard.

One thing I did to my carvin S8, wood body was too have holes drilled through the body to make it a string through. That anchored the bridge to the body better & maybe upgraded the tone.

To me that console is really unique. Many years ago I researched some of Carvin history because I bought a Kiesel D8 bakelite lapsteel, the forerunner of Carvin. If I recall correctly my research revealed the business name changed changed from Kiesel to Carvin in 1950. Bobby Seymour told me his firs...

I have been practicing & playing at a Senior center for several months using the 8 string Alkire tuning. I was so impressed by Claude Brownell‘s sounds that I tuned my tuning a half tone lower than his Alkire tuning. My only reason for that was that there are many similar positions on a B-flat s...
