Paddy, back in Scotland now, will be back over at some point, son is working there for a few years. Several good music stores, I asked about pedal steel players, but they did not know of anyone, or even any bands that had one. Hope all is well with you.

Travis, try changing your cables, I had a friend who made up a set of cables, only to find they sucked all the highs out of tone. His ShoBud LDG into Nashville 400 sounded as if someone had put a blanket over it.

All the SKB 3611w cases I have seen used for steel have , as Ian suggested, had a horizontal separation panel fitted, created a separate section for the pedal bar and legs, Know Paddy Long in NZ uses them regularly, and is pretty pleased with them.

Try electrical cable shrink wrap, just cut to size, put on and shrink with hairdryer. Picks rock solid on fingers.

My Milly is older one, previously owned by Fred Shannon, it had been hard worked but still in great condition, so I sent it back to factory to have it updated to latest standards, Kyle and Mitchell did a superb job on it. It is lightweight, I use Scott Dixon case, which means it is 21kgs( two kgs un...

You can find a lot of Dicky’s stuff on Heart of Texas Records, he did a lot of back up stuff with Amber Digby CDs and a lot of other artists who record with them,
