I was asked to write a review of this book for our local Musician's Union's quarterly magazine, which I was happy to do because I really enjoyed reading it. They asked for a very short piece but I was able to convince them that the book deserved more, and they published most of the much longer piec...

Book Nashville Steeler. One guy complained that I did not put enough Steel Players in it. I have known most all the famous Steel Players and I would not dare write about there antics nor would they permit me to do so.

If my memory serves me correctly, both streets I mentioned on my post.......are within juat a block or so, SOUTH, I believe, of I-35. They are several miles apart, I'd guess, east to west. I recorded Steel Guitar Rag with Pee Wee King on RCA Victor in December 1946. With Tommy Sosbee doing the vocal written by Merl Travis. It was Pee Wee King first record on RCA.

Yes that is Pee Wee King.

This picture was taken in 1945. At R.H. GARY & SON'S.
