Sarno Freeloader - MINT!

I bought this to use with my Sarno Octal preamp. I was so impressed by the Octal that I immediately replaced it with the Sarno Revelation (Octal)- and didn't need the FreeLoader since it is built into the Rev. It was probably used for two weeks and has sat in my studio ever since. So here is your ch...

Sarno Black Box - MINT condition

I am selling a Sarno Black Box in mint condition. I bought it back when I got my Octal preamp and used it a total of maybe 5 times. I was so impressed by the Octal Preamp that I bought the Revelation preamp (Octal option) and have used only it since. The unit seriously has less than 20 hours on it a...

Hi Sara, That guitar is a BMI D-10 that your dad played when he was with the Sky Kings. That period was around 1993 to 1995. They were a great band that never got their due. I got to meet Rusty and hang with him for awhile .. he was a very kind and generous man. And he influenced so many steel playe...

I have a question for Sara since she is on the forum now... whatever became of Rusty's ZB guitars? Does the fsmily still own them or did he trade them for the Sho Buds he used for those many years?

TTT .... wish I had some cash to get this guitar. Heck! I'd buy Rusty's finger picks if they were on the market.
Perhaps my all time favorite steel player.

I very rarely chime in on these discussions, but here goes: Some years ago I happened to be in Jim Palenscar's shop while JayDee Manees was playing one of his push pulls. What struck me about his sound was that it was like a '59 Fender Strat. There was clarity but also the notes had a "punch&qu...

Emmons D-10 p/p 8 & 8 - Sale pending

SOLD! Sad to say but I am not gigging at all these days. So it's time to reduce the size of the herd. I am offering my 1981 Emmons D-10 for sale - $3700 plus shipping. It had a complete rebuild and metalwork polished by Mike Cass a few years back. Minimal usage in the intervening years. There are 5 ...

I sorta second Bob's suggestion. I use tyhe Paul Franklin change that raises A to C and C to D. It gives you and inside diatonic run - C, D, E. And if you put it next to pedal 5 ("D pedal") you get C,D,E,F# - just the like inside run on the E9 tuning. It's great for doing speed licks up th...
