I owe a great dept to Ray, he got me back into music after I quit for 10 years. I met him at the MASGA show in Wilson 10 years or so ago and he invited me to play lead guitar at Robert McGees Beaver Creek Barn. We played together there for several years. Recently we played together in 2 different ba...

This show is the best show on TV bar none and Marty is the ambassador of real country music. Everybody on the show is great and Leroy represents a part of our history that should be celebrated along with the Carter family folks he has on occasionally. The only change needed is to make it a hour so Le...

Your right about Mike , if he's playing it's going to be top level country.I love to hear him teamed up with James Mitchell.Pay real close when you listen to him and catch the little funny licks he throws in that the average person wouldnt notice.

Steel on todays country music
Jesse fronts Brazilbilly , a band that does vintage country, western and some rockibilly. You should here him sing Marty Robbins material. They play at Roberts Western World ,the coolist place on earth, and sometimes you can hardly find room to stand when they perform.

Zac Brown is considered country ,I mean they are played on country radio and on CMT and GAC on tv.Most people don't even know what a pedal steel guitar is and its just sad that this style of playing is going to be or already is more popular than way Emmons or Green played.

So sad that this is what the steel guitar has come to! So what if there is good crowd response. I know I'm being close minded but how much worse can so called country music get. This crap gets out to the masses and this is what they are going think a pedal steel guitar is. Distorted guitars have alr...

Check out Marty Stuart's new CD Ghost Train. It's great. It features the great Ralph Mooney on several cuts including an instrumental version of Crazy Arms! Marty is keeping Hillbilly music alive.Notice I didn't say country music, google Hillbilliesville to find out why I will not say I play country...

I enjoyed the movie very much. Jeff is a very good singer and appears to play guitar well also. It seems to me when ever you see country music as a movie theme it is tradional country music they use .That corporate Nashville crap is'nt good for nothing is it?
