I purchased a Roland RD-2000 digital piano with a price tag of around $2500. It came from the dealer shipped via FEDEX. The box was destroyed. The keyboard miraculously survived. I wanted a box in good condition. Wouldn't you? The dealer could not just send me a replacement box - Roland does not off...

Bill Sutton wrote:Greg That did sound better. How did you do that. Is it something that can be down loaded? Or did you use Audacity? :o
Bill.
I use a variety of products from Cedar, iZotope and Sony. I believe there is a noise reduction module within Audacity.

Hello Bill, As I explained in my email to you, I would have better luck if I were to have access to the original WAV file, but this is the best I can do in removing the buzz and hum from your mp3. Very nice playing. Respectfully, Greg http://www.gymusic.com/audio/TheEndOfTheWorld_ByBillSutton_1.mp3

"Show Me" - Jack Cumming

Well... it's not widespread on "the web" yet, but here's a song I co-wrote with a songwriter in Scotland in 2004. It sat... unfinished since then until resurrecting the song last week, after having a "creative moment". "Show Me" - © 2004 - Jack Cumming http://www.gymusi...

Reaper has now moved far from home recording to the pro ranks in terms of capability. It has many features that Pro Tolls does not and vice versa. It's economical, not a resource hog and treats midi and analog streams pretty much the same. My last Reaper project used 14 compressor on 20 tracks and ...

Re: Home recording

If your PC based, people are dropping PTools and moving to Reaper. Many of my clients are bringing in their projects on it. It's a wonderful program. It's free as long as you're evaluating it! Greg, I don't know anything about your clientel, but I don't think there is any mass exodus from ProTools ...

Remember when the Linn Drum came out? Drummers were afraid they would soon be out of work. How about the synthesizer and samplers? String players... out of work? I don't think so. The PS is not dead by any means. I think some people may be tired of hearing it used in traditional ways. I know I am. I...

How to sell one these days? I don't feel like traveling around to promote it. The business of selling music isn't doing that well. Even some of the established acts are having a tough go of it.

After a while we both decided that the best sound for steel came from the Fender Bassman amp module, (I forget what Line 6 calls it) and the two 12 cabinet setting. I recorded my first PS tracks yesterday. I have a bunch of amps to choose from and also tried my Pod XT. I used a previous patch and c...

I stay away from WD-40. It gums up after time. LPS #1 and Singer sewing machine oil are the only lubricants I use on guitars. Naptha (lighter fluid), denatured alcohol, and Gunk are the only cleaners/degreasers I use. I'm in the process of cleaning up a '67 Fender 400. Not sure what I'm going to use...

Hey Dan! Thanks for the smoke. You've got the talent too. Why do you think I hooked up with you back then? You knew all the augmented, suspended, diminished chords.
