FS Walker Black Beauty Seat !!!SOLD!!!

Near Mint Walker Black Beauty Seat. There a few very light discolorations on the corner sidings but nothing more. It's been used probably 6 or 7 times in it's life. It's never left my studio and I bought it at the same time I bought my pedal steel (that was just sold). I'm looking for $135/shipped M...

Desert Rose S-10 3x5 !!!SOLD!!!

I bought this Pedal Steel new from Chuck in April of '08 and I am sorry to say I never got around to learning how to play it. It's been sitting in my studio all these years and has been taken out of the case maybe 5 or 6 times when I had the time to learn tune it and fiddle with learning. I wish I c...

Thanks for the information Mark. I just measured my Harmony and it is just under 34 1/2'' so you can add Harmony to your list of steels it would perfectly fit. I am going to use this Steinberger case for now since I had it laying around and didn't realize it had another use :)

Re: THINGS I've heard.....................

I've read on this SGF that the JERRY BYRD Instructional Manual for Serious Minded players was really the best way to go. You have the guy that made C6th/A7th the backbone of his playing/style for many, many years explaining in a factual and easy to understand manner how to get the ultimate out of t...

Lap Steel C6 and/or C6/A7 Easy Chord Chart ?

I was wondering if anyone has an easy chord chart for a beginner lap player ? C6 tuning and/or C6/A7 tuning

I guess I would compare it to like those guitar chord posters they make with all the basic major/minor/7/sus chords and bar chords for people to have hanging on their walls :D

So a friend of mine told me if I had a Steinberger around, that case would work too and I actually had one around so my problem has been temperately solved. It works great and is very padded. I have to have a soft case with shoulder straps for traveling or the gun case would be cool to do :) Just wa...

Thanks for the links everyone. I thought about the gun case after reading some others doing that but I thought about I'll be doing probably 15 flights or so this coming month and I'm not really wanting to cause any speculation on what is in the case ;) I wanted to get the Gretsch case but according ...

Soft Shell Case For Lap Steel ?

I am going to be leaving on tour June 29th and I want to take my lap steel with me to practice on. Can anyone recommend a decent soft shell bag ? Doesn't have to be deluxe, just something with a shoulder strap and better than what I have it in now and I'm embarrassed to say what that is  This ...

Lap Steel Model ?

I was curious what type of Lap Steel I have ? A friend gave it to me to use for some sessions and I've been actually spending sometime learning how to play it correctly and got curious what brand/model it was.

Hi Tommy, I have played with Lisa Bouchelle on occasion...she and Tom Reock have collaborated quite a bit, and I play in his "Reock and Roll Review". Welcome to the Forum...it's a great place. I'm finding a handful of people on this forum that have worked with her...not a big surprise but...

Welcome aboard Tommy! Hey, if you're doing BMG in NY, you probably know my old bandmate Jeff Turlik. You should ask him if he remembers how long the five-week program lasts. ;-) Hey Patrick....of course I know Jeff...Were you in a band with him up in Boston ? I think that is where he is from if I'm...

Here is a youtube of the Zither. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFz79SBnuk8 That does look like a traditional zither...I've never seen that so that was cool to watch...the one we play is about 3 times that size and has the harp up top like that one, but has 6 "sets" of chords at the botto...
