My new Jackson is on it's way...
I wanted to thank all of you that have offered your opinions and suggestions as far as a Sacred Steel set-up for my first PSG. David took them and distilled them into this Chuck Cambell set up: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix/7084_E7_SS_1.jpg Since I'm a beginner on this instrument, it all is...

18 Month!!!???
Hey Bill,
I hope it didn't take 18 months to get the Jackson!! How long did it take? I'm getting antsy waiting for my XTreme to get here...
Ronnie, Mine is the birds eye maple. I think it's the one they have a pic up on the Xtreme page on their site.

New Jacksons....
Hey Ronnie, I've ordered an Xtreme, and am now anxiously waiting for it to get here. It's supposed to be done soon. I'll let you know what I think about it then. Meanwhile I'm also very interested in what anybody else who has played, or owns one, thinks about them. So far I'm very impressed with the...

My New Jackson Almost done.....
Just heard from Dawn at Jackson Steel guitar. My XTreme PSG cabinet is done and ready to begin putting it together! I'm having it set up with some variant of a E7 SS tuning. She says she'll be in Florida for a Sacred steel convention in April and will be looking for input for suggested SS setups fro...

Ted Beards set up?
Hey, does anybody know Ted Beards SS copedant? Jackson Guitars has said they could set my guitar up based on his sacred steel tuning. I'm curious how it compares to the set ups that where suggested to me by Dan Tyrack and b0b, amongst others.

Ted Beard Tuning?
Thanks Scott.... Does anyone know Ted Beards copedant? The good folks at Jackson guitar have told me they would consult him for his SS tuning on my guitar. I will show them the suggestions I've got from the members here to compare notes, but I think I will give the advice of David and Dawn a little ...

Hey Scott,Dan, b0b, David, et all.... Thanks, I'm not losing my mind after all. I checked out your site for The Linemen, nice......are you using a standard E9th? You guys are really helpful. now I'm confused....
Hey b0b, I'm sure I need to get me a book or something to start studying, but, I'm missing something here. If you hit pedals three and four on Dans tuning, I'm not seeing how that makes a G major...I'm seeing a C# and a F#, how does that fit into a G major? Being something below a beginner (I haven'...

Sacred steel E7th or nashville E9th for beginner?
I've recently ordered my first PSG ( Jackson Steel "Xtreme", 3/5) and I'm wondering if I should have them set it up with a sacred steel E7th type copedant, as opposed to the more standard E9th. Since I'm a beginner and either tuning will be new to me, I'm wondering if I'm making it harder ...

Concerns with Jackson...
Hi Chris, I had posted a topic containing an e-mail I had received from a gentleman that preferred to remain anonymous, so I deleted the post and Bob took the topic down. My point was'nt to cause him any grief, it's just that I had just ordered the "Xtreme" from Jackson when I got it from ...

New member seeks advice...
Hi All, I'm a new member, and soon to be owner of my first PSG. I'm pretty much settled on the Jackson Steel Psg's. I've narrowed it down between the "Blackjack Custom" and the "Xtreme". I'm wondering if any of you who have bought or played either would have any comments or sugge...
