Any idea how to find another deal like this one? It doesn't appear the seller has any more - at least not on eBay.
I emailed the seller and ask if they had any more. Got a reply that they had a few, and would be relisting them after the holidays....

WOW!!!, thanks for the help, mighty nice of you, but unfortunately I'm not smart enough to absorb that at all. My theory knolwedge is just enough to be dangerous, but that is way over my head. Maybe there will be a day I will understand. So, is the tuning I mentioned, a usefull tuning, or is it not?...

Thanks to both of you....fantastic! Thats good usefull info. I've started off with low to high Bb-C#-A-C-E-G-B-D....kind of a C6/G dobro cross. You can get your 1,4,5 chords all within two frets. Then with the dim (C#) and 7th (Bb) on the bottom....Then the minor EGB is there as well. I really like ...

Scales and Chords for eight string tunings

Is there a thread, or link, where one can visualy see scales and/or chords on various eight string tunings? Just purchased a new 8 string lap, and I need to visualy see these scales first, verses tuning to million different tunings and spinning my head. Im looking for a tuning that I can play triads...

Best USA made round neck reso for under $2500

I come to the group with this question....I am considering the purchase of a top notch round neck, with solid woods, USA made, round neck spider type reso. I have owned 2 OMI Dobro round necks in the past and enjoyed them very much. But now that I have experienced the sounds of a solid maple guitar ...

Just a thought, you might consider a stop tailpiece and Epiphone's "EZ bender". I have seen them used before on lap steel's. I have looked them up in the past, and they are available through musicyo.com , but they are not always in stock. MusicYo.com is Gibson's foreign wholesale website :...

My friend said the new Dobro, did NOT have a pickup, or a jack. And yes, its sounds like, Music 123 got confused with Gibson's changes as well...Personaly I think Gibson should have been a little clearer about the origin of this guitar and any other changes to the past advertised "Hound Dog&quo...

Yes !! it DOES have the Dobro emblem, not the burned in Hound Dog.....I was suprised...this is a total new designed guitar, they went back to the round sound well, not open. The maple was nice looking, same stain color, and matte finish, but not flamed or figured on the one I saw. No serial number on...

My friend recieved one also....YEP made in China..fit and finish actually better than my USA made houndog made in Nashville, sound was ok, but needed thicker strings to compare...nice guitar for the money..My only complaint is Gibson could have reserved the "Dobro" name for a USA made inst...

Terry, The one I owned was a round neck, I got great comments every where I went on the volume and tone alike. The pickup, was typical and passive, very thin sounding and weak, but if you roll back the treble use a preamp, and also use a mic you can tear um up. Using a volume pedal on a good instrume...

You might be right..... I did a search for "Hound Dog" on Music 123's site and came up with both high and low priced guitars. And the lower priced guitars are tagged as a "NEW" item. So I would assume that they are NOT discontinued retired models...but rather a new version with a...
