Right Shorty, I don't get on the forum too often, but I produce these for MB and the interview gal is my daughter. Buck is an awesome player. I need to do more steel players. So far I've done Doug Jernigan, Mike Johnson, Chris Scruggs, Steve Sturm, and oh yeah, myself :) I've had a few turn me down ...

I play Dobro, pedal steel and non-pedal. I produced Rob Ickes' performance DVD for Mel Bay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vH0hjMzwhk I asked Rob about him standing during a particular section and he declined. He said something to the effect "I don't want to stand, I can give my best performac...

I was cleaning up the case which was made by Gretch and I found a sticky label inside the compartment. Hand written: Sho-Bro - $600.00 top inlay - $200.00 fretboard - $250.00 Gold hardware - $100.00 Total - $1150.00 I guess that tells for sure what was a standard guitar, what the extras were and cos...

Thanks for the reply Al. Yeah I guess I'll have to take it apart to see if there is anything written down inside. I think I'll ask around town before I do that, people that knew Shot. Al, does your Sho-Bro have a serial number?

I think these Sho-Bros are cool. I just bought one today at an estate auction. Everything I’ve read online talks about 6 and 7 string models, Gretch making them until 1973, then Shot making/assembling them again. I’ve seen serial number lists. The one I have is 8 string, all gold hardware, engraved ...

I've been playin mando as long as I have been on steel. It's my main double. I've been in a bunch of bluegrass bands thru the years as well as the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble. It's a lot of fun, after lugging a steel, amp, seat, FX to gig after gig, to just show up with a little mandolin case. http:...

All that aside, how can I audition for the gig? :-)

Wayne, After reading what you wrote again, yes would have a numbers of ways of doing this, indicating a key change. Usually you would use the text font to indicate instructions such as "Change key to Ab", etc. (the "Ab" would be written using the Nashville font) And there is a lo...

Hi Wayne, I'm not exactly what you mean or how that would look. But the software basically uses a regular text font with the characters that are in the two Nashville fonts. Most people use a word processor like MS word, or any such program. So you have a lot of flexability as to wht you want to inco...

Peavey Session 400 Limited Wedge

I have too many amps. I take it out on gigs ocassionally but it's basically been sitting in my garage for the last 10 years. The large cabinet gives a warm rich tone. Good shape, excellent working condition. The back of the amp has balanced XLR output, power amp in and preamp out. Includes cover. $3...
