Wow!
That's one of the few buds I'd trade mine for. Green is my favorite color of the old buds but I can live with red.

Best of luck with your sale.

I sold my '76 for $1,600 (4 years ago) to give you an idea for a price range. No way a stock 70's RB-250 will fetch over $2k and in this market you may be looking at less than $1,600.

This era RB-250 gets a bad wrap but overall they sound just fine.

Best of luck

That's got to be the silliest idea I've seen in a long time and it obviously won't work. Especially on double-stop bends.

Too funny.

Gold Tone LS-8?

Hi, I'm in the market for an 8 string lap steel and I was wondering if anybody has experience with these Gold Tones? I'm moving over from playing pedal steel and I'm into the Hawaiian approach mostly. So with that in mind I'm thinking an 8 string would be the easiest shift from my C6th Sho~Bud neck....

That's a fine point John. I'm sure I could work with 1 1/2 but I'm still not sure about the diameter. George L offers 1/8 or 3/32 and Ronnie is saying 5/40 which sounds like metric? I can't imagine Sho~Bud used metric parts.

Thanks Fred, Now the inevitable question is which size do I need for my Bud? It sure looks like the length of the originals is 1 3/4 inches though the longest I see on the George L site is 1 1/2. As for the diameter I have no idea what that is. Any and all help is most appreciate it. http://seanray....

Sho~Bud Parts?

I have a '77 Pro II Custom and the nylon tuning nuts are striping out. Does anybody know where I might find some replacements?

Thanks,
Sean
