Donny, The steel is a single neck, 3pedals,4 knee. I always used 3/8 aluminum in the past, but I was told that the sound would not be as good. That is what I was wondering if that was true? I really dont know why it would make any difference in the sound but mayby it does. I reciently rebuilt a shob...

Thanks everyone for your input. I think Ill go with my gut feeling and keep the mci. I know gfi makes a good guitar but I dont think it will keep its value as well as my mci. The lighter weight of the gfi really does not appeal to me. I like my guitar kinda like I like my women. A little on the heav...

I will give Don Blood two thumbs up on his pad. I bought one for my sho-bud professional about a year ago, and I love it. It is well made and worth the money.

Keith, If your trying to upgrade, If it were me, Id save a few more bucks and buy something a little better. I would think another few hunderd bucks could buy you a very playable steel you would be happy with. Just my opinion.

Ive tried several different effects on steel, but none seem to improve the sound. Just the guitar and the amp(with reverb) is the best sound Ive found. Any thoughts?

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the the square and round front Loyde Green model? What do you look for to tell the difference? The round front seems to be more valuable. Are the mechanics different or what. Ive found one for sale and really dont know how to value it. I have a sho-b...
