I haven't been here in a while and just saw this. I also went to the Carter shop in Mesquite several years ago and John showed me around and introduced to Bud. Bud was so busy doing what he was doing. Both true gentlemen and now both gone. RIP Bud.

Lee, I still have my Mark I and it did stay in tune! One of the plastic leg holders is broken and if I could find a replacement I would have it setup in the spare bedroom.

Gibson has it's Min-ETuneTM robot tuner. It started on their high-end guitars and are now offering it on some of their less expensive models. Does anyone see this technology being adopted for use on pedal steel?
