Johnnie,

I would have no idea how to convert it. But good idea for someone that knows. And it wouldn’t cost as much as a new MSA Legend XL new!

Damir, Yes it is a great price. I paid $6500 and traveled to Tampa to pick it up. It is a great sounding guitar. I love it, just too damn heavy for me to get out and play it for people. I have MS and I just seem to get weaker, making it harder. Thanks for checking it out. BTW my younger brother, Ric...

Re: ets

was this guitar built by Bud Carter? I don't recall seeing his name on the underside the way he did on MSA and Carter steels... Guitar is in the case right now, I should have a look, but I don't recall a sticker with his name.. Not sure he did that on the ETS guitars,, Not even sure he ever did the...

I really like the Carter. I started with a Starter then a year later got the S10. I also have an ETS. I am waiting on a MSA (brand new).

Thanks for the comments!

Video of me playing a little

I used BIAB to create this Poco - A Good Feelin' to Know backing track. Me playing along on Carter S10 (2007). Not perfect but it gives me joy, which we all need right now

In my case, I have not asked for a refund of deposit since I plopped it down with a 10-11 month wait in mind. However if I was misquoted an expectation and it actually is projected to take closer to 24 months it would be nice to know and then I might decide to start a request for the refund of $1500...

Thanks for all of the info. Looks like I will wait and see. I hope the Universe comes thru again and helps align my lifeline and MSA timeline. The Universe answered me on day back in aug 2006. It had been just about 10 years after I was diagnosed with MS and a year after I left the workforce on disa...

I should say this. One of the reasons that an MSA takes awhile is that they have become accustomed to a certain level of quality that is immediately apparent when you play one- and look at one. I'm quite certain that if they accepted less they could bang them out and be right on time. Accompanying ...

A gentleman who’s Emmons I serviced has been waiting nearly two years, with a promise date of under a year. He also stated Kyle is very difficult to get ahold of, and is not particularly professional. His reason for telling me this was he wanted to know if I had any suggestions for another steel,...

MSA steels

Looking for info . Has anyone ordered and rcvd a new MSA recently? I am just looking for real world delivery times. I order a Pro Tour model (why cause I always wanted a MSA) and Pro Tour 6-10 sounded fun. I was lucky enough to win a settlement and can now afford it. I knew when I ordered it there w...

Put the rod in upper hole and It tuned to C#. However the quickconnect connector broke. It is a 180 deg straight on and the scooped out area for the ball cracked. Anyone have a 180 degree quick connect for a Dekley?

Thanks

Tuning C pedal on a Delkey 3+4

I have been helping a friend setup up a Delkey that he recently purchased. He was having problems with his C pedal rod always falling out. I adjusted the height on that and it seemed ok. We then began tuning and we got to the C pedal. String 4 tuned up ok. String 5 has been a problem. It's weird whe...

Need Help with ETS Pedal Steel

I have an ETS steel that I need to replace the pickup on or at least get it out and see if I can add longer wire. I had problems with the ground on this from the start and did some things I thought might help, scratching off paint around washer and nut on input jack and adding a ground wire to the s...

Thanks guys ... It's actually a Boss GT-1 (multi-effects) that I use. I am going to have to try the TBro with other types of bars and wit some effects thrown in. I have used it in 'TBRO" mode no reverb, no MX200 (bypassed) and only using Tbro bar. Thanks again for making me rethink things Dan S...

Don't know if any one would even consider doing this. I am looking for some settings with this config that may sound a little more "swampy". I may even be asking for something closer to a lap steel. I play a lot of open mics where I play along a lot of other players and sometimes I feel th...
