Need Help with ETS Pedal Steel
I have an ETS steel that I need to replace the pickup on or at least get it out and see if I can add longer wire. I had problems with the ground on this from the start and did some things I thought might help, scratching off paint around washer and nut on input jack and adding a ground wire to the screw hat holds the changer in place. I was able to get a good result from adding a wire around that screw and attaching it to ground on input. Fixed it for about 5 years. Last night my crappy soldering job (shaky unsteady hands from MS, I used to be pretty good) broke apart and I got a very annoying buzz all night at my gig.
There are no apparent screws securing the pickup from either top side or underneath.
Anyone know how they were assembled?
Thanks
Dan

Try reaching Al Brisco from Steel Guitars Canada.
He sold them and worked on them as well.

Thanks I know Al but was trying o get by without customs concerns.
Brian, If I take strings off and pry underneath I should be able to take it off? It's a GeorgeL I thought it might just have a cover then screws underneath. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.
Any other suggestions for a replacement pickup?
Thanks
Dan

Telonics 500 w Lexicon 200
That was easy enough! Now to lengthen the connection wire to the jack to make it a bit easier for my hands to work with.
