I met Blackie about 20 years ago when I started collecting slide bars. I was pretty shocked to see the vacuum cleaner store sharing space with the steel guitars. He welcomed me warmly, and we talked most of the afternoon about R.C. Allen, he had played with him in clubs in El Monte, and Dicky Stubbs...

I have a slide bar with his name on it. It's exactly like the old Nick Manoloff slides.

Of course, I have one with the canvas pouch, and several others, including one hand-made by Frank Ford, infamous luthier from Gryphon. I sell the Chase for 35 each. Let me know.

I also sell guitar picks, all types. I have over 50,000. Black Rajahs are 100 each. Note sure what a "Chase" bar is though.

Hoping to find a new home for my babies. I will be starting to put them up on eBay tomorrow, Jan. 30, and then again this Saturday and Sunday. This is not all of them, and I have a ton of other items, like picks, etc. My Facebook page has photos of the first 80 items that will be put up. Let me know...

The occasion was Danny's cover story in the Fretboard Journal. I was just picking up the guitar at Old Style in Silver Lake.

Nice decals. Can't tell who made it, but there are some Oahus that have the same body shape, and using different graphic decals.

I found this little beauty at a yard sale. It was busted up pretty good, but everything was there. Just a bit of glue and it's as good as new. Neck was shaved down, but you can see that it used to look like. Any comments?
