Mr. Chandler has found a home!
The Chandler six stringer is a great little steel. Met up with Mike this morning, bought it and brought it home. A while back I sold my Fender Double 8 that I had for over fifty years - but kept getting that "Empty Feeling" when I went to the rec room. Mr. Chandler fills that void. The gui...

Decal Letters on Fender Dual 8
The guy that bought the guitar has a band named
Aqua Velva.
Jim says he will merely delete the D and the E, and he has the desired lettering A V .

Decal Letters on Fender Dual 8
I purchased a Fender Dual 8 in 1954 and the music company that sold it to me placed decal letters spelling out DAVE on the front. I really liked it, but now it is a problem. I am trying to sell the guitar and a couple of guys have asked how to remove the letters. :(  :whoa: Does anyone kn...

1954 Fender Double Neck Eight String
This Double neck is in excellent condition. Sorry to say that it has stayed in a closet, or under the bed, over 99% of the time I have had it. Purchased new in Baton Rouge. With legs, and original case.
$ 1400. Will gladly e-mail photos.

Hey Rich - Have you been able to get this tab ? Steelin The Blues, for C6th plus 7th, is tabbed out in Jerry Byrds course from 1954. Last number in the book. He changed the lowest string from C to C#. I have always felt that this book was the best one ever written for the beginning steel guitar play...

Case for Fender Double Neck
Outside dimensions for my Fender case are 30 1/2 X 13 X 4 inches. Double neck eight string. However, mine is the short scale! Legs fit into a compartment built into the case.

Fred - These were originally sold in VHS format, and have been sold out at Marty Robbins Enterprises for a few years. I did order them on DVD format from England. Only problem was that these were not formatted to play in our US DVD format. They do fine on my computer. Might have a second set around ...

Tracts
Hey Dom -
Thanks for sending Sleepwalk back up tract my way. I was able to downlod with no trouble.
How about a list of other tracts you have. Tracts like this sure do improve practice time. Any chance you would have Steel Guitar Rag in key of E?
Thanks again, Dave

This is a real oldie, Ray. Thanks for posting it. Recording artists were fortunate to have Jerry Byrd backing them up. Hank and Anita Carter sang together on Bluebird Island. I believe this was in the 60's. Who was the steeler on Bluebird Island. Maybe Kayton Roberts. He has a great Hawaiian style. ...

Jerry Byrd Site
Ray - Thanks for all your work with the web-site. There's a bunch of us that still enjoy hearing the music of the master. Today being colder than the normal April in Nashville, I'm doing "home chores" - and cranked up the old VCR so I could see and hear Jerry on one of the NPT tapes from H...

It is great to have the JB Web Site up and running again, Ray. Jerry plays the heck out of Little Grass Shack this week. I've always liked that number. Kayton Roberts also does a great job on this one. I believe someone had posted a You Tube with Kayton playing Little Grass Shack a few months back. ...

As Jeff Strouse pointed out, these were from the Drifter series that Marty recorded in late sixties. I believe Marty recorded four Drifter albums, featuring Jerry Byrd on two of them. They were put out in VHS format and have not been available for several years. I did find them on E-bay in DVD forma...
