Thanks Rick! Amazingly enough I never once feared death. I know in my heart that this is merekyv the current leg of my journey and I am valuing everything I learn from this path. I cherish the pain because, it teaches me to grow my empathy so I can understand other people's pain, I want to help peop...

re-posted at end of thread for anyone clicking to the end :) (Keeping the post simple) I am selling a custom made used pedal steel acquired from forum member Dennis Wireman. It is a custom but, no frills so better than a carter starter probably but, not as fancy as the $2000 and up steels. I'd say a...

we're going with a 26 inch scale (similar to my Ibanez saber with Ibanez brand flloyd rose converted to steel) and the guy who'll be doing it regularly works with touch style instruments so he's got a lot more experience going that low than any steel company would since it's an uncommon tuning. He s...

hey guys did not realize there were replies. I received no notice from the site. answers to questions. make: it's a custom. Dennis Wireman got it from a payers widow so not sure who built it. It seems to me David that it is adjustable. I came from lap steel myself and Dennis told me it would be a go...

This tuning is going to go on a custom designed wearable lap steel so double necks nuh uh! It will also not be like every other wearable lap steel that forces you to treat it like a tray the cigarette girls used to wear lol little sneak peak. It's being designed by someone who used to make custom wh...

Yep low to high. That all depends on what and what for you're strumming :) I've got power chords there as well as other inner parts. With that range strumming the whole 12 strings is a big sound that I wouldn't use as often as a 6 string tuning.

Let's talk about a 12 string tuning

F#,B,E,G,A,D,E,G,B,D,E,C#(between the high B and D so sort of like an out of sequence E9 tuning on pedal steel)

That F# is below the low E on regular guitar so yeah looow range instrument. This will be for progressive rock / metal.

OK! Hate it, love it, puzzled by it? Fail to see my reasons?

(Keeping the post simple) I am selling a custom made used pedal steel acquired from forum member Dennis Wireman. It is a custom but, no frills so better than a carter starter probably but, not as fancy as the $2000 and up steels. I'd say a good beginner / intermediate or back up steel. It's E9, 3 pe...

MIDI body sensors have been around for a long time. There is also video input to MIDI. Nintendo had a glove way back in the 90's There's a fiber optic glove out there as well.

This takes it to the next level by defining the specific motion. Ultimately, you are sitll dealing with x,y and z axis'

Well at some point this is inevitably leading to a rig where somebody like Lady Gaga can glue sensors all over her body and plug into a bank of 50 synthesizers. And then you'll be sorry you didn't listen to me! Oh yes you will! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wagn8Wrmzuc&feature=fvsr And the hot...

wood would (lol) be equal in style and quality to your work. However, your visibility issue is a legit concern. Low light being more of an issue than dark because, with dark we could go with phosphorescent paint. You could do highly visible frets. Perhaps thicker white frets? Now if the white was pe...

Love your work Dom. I think your wood work could benefit from equally coo, looking fretboards. Even if you just do vinyl paste on. Maybe it's just me but, white isn't my thang.

lol Ibanez is not what it used to be. They're not about repro any more. Honestly better than Fender and Gibson these days. Sad but, true. Works for Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, George Benson and Pat Metheny. Good enough for me.

It's not about the notes man. Music is the space between the notes, man. Now put down your instrument and make some music, man ;)
