My take on the Benny Rogers version of 'Sand'

This is the first of a good few posts featuring my upcoming CD 'the soul of the weissenborn. I have utilised its vibe by sending goodwill to a wonderfull human being who has helped look after many of us in south Goa during our escapes from these grey uk winter days, https://youtu.be/dzd0mqtIZdsf Rec...

Hi John, your book arrived today, so glad I didn't get the e reader version, your baby feels nice in the hand, congrats. So I'll reciprocate with my Son House story. Growing up in the NW of England I was one of a handful of blues enthusiasts and record collectors. We had a spare room in the house an...

Early electric orchestral/acoustic ( not quite sure ) recordings in UK involved the various sections..wind..brass etc on giant moveable platforms that could be moved around the vast space untill the desired balance was found. Removal vans a common site outside recording sessions ( History of recorde...

slide history

Thanks John, thats really interesting..Amazon won't recognise my UK login details so I'll have to start over again. Get to grips with C6th/A7 theres absolutely LOADS of help and instruction on that tuning. You can do all the Don Helms and Leon Mcauliffe stuff plus the zillions of Jerry Byrd arrangemen...

This is all great news, had an email from Curtis Morrell himself, yep he confirms the 7 string pickup story depicted above, BUT as I'm going to convert to 7 string ( A6 ) the current stock pickup will be highly suitable and accommodate my string spacing perfectly. Will keep you all posted, I did try...
