Last winter I bought a pair of lace-up roper style boots by Ariat. I don't remember the "model" name but they have a rubber-like sole and heel. I think they were made for working around stables. I think it's a good looking boot and has proved quite practical for the winter here in Minnesota.

I played bass for Joe for about a year and a half in the early '80's. Great singer, really great guy. We had a lot of fun along with playing some really great Country Music.

That is my amp that will be provided for you on Sunday. It's a Nashville not a Session. Cosmetically it's not so good, but it works just fine. Rollie's is a great place, and Rollie is a good guy. See you Sunday.

A friend of mine and I had the pleasure of doing the production for the Moe Bandy show on Dec. 13 at a club here in St. Cloud, MN. Moe and his guys did a fantastic job. They worked for 1 3/4 hours to a packed house, playing hit after hit. They are also some of the nicest guys we've ever had a chance...

There IS a 9:30 GOO show on Saturday nights. I know, because my son Eddie plays steel for Bill Anderson, and they work that show a lot. As to whether WSM broadcasts it, I don't know. If they don't, that's really too bad, but not really surprising considering the direction they have been taking latel...

I have been using a Mackie 808M on my smaller jobs for the last six years. We use it 3 - 4 times a month. It's self contained, lightweight and I think it sounds great. I think Mackie has updated it, but mine has two amps in it. 600 watts each at 2 ohms. I use one for monitors, the other for mains. I...

That would be Eddie Lange.(there is an "e" at the end of our name. Hello Craig). He is a great player, and not just because he's my oldest son. Eddie has been with Bill for almost 3 years, and really enjoys it.

I think it needs to be mentioned that at one time Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, Porter Wagoner, Jean Shepard, Stonewall Jackson, ect... were all "NEW" singers on the Grand Ol' Opry. As I've said before, the Opry is a business, a big business, and the Opry's managment will do what it needs to...

Bill is celebrating his 45th anniversery on the the G.O.O. today. He will be on the GAC televised portion tonight at 7 central time. Bill Gaither bought the hour, so it's all gospel. Still a "Wild Weekend" for Whisperin' Bill and the Po' Folks.

Monday nights, Eddie Lange plays the Bluegrass Inn on Broadway from 8 - Midnight. Also, I think the Time Jumpers may be at the Station Inn. Have a good time in Music City. I usually do.
