OK, it appears my witticism was out of place. Since AB-J seems the go-to for so many of us (and I've use one or two myself), all source replies are welcome.

No More Heresy in the Church - WTB Allen Bradley volume pots

I've had it with open market, music store stock volume pots. Either who has A-B type J 500k units, and how much are they, or if we can't get them, what other/s are on par with performance and dependability. I'm in the market.

AB-J or other dependable pots

I'd like some input on dependable pots. ABJ's seem to be the one to get, but for that, they seem a bit hard to find, and my last one didn't seem to last that long. I haven't had much luck in Nrn AZ or PHX music stores nor with the forum, so any source info is welcome. Thanks!

I think Hinson has it: sound distinction, to which I would add smoothness of progression no other instrument can really match and, were than not enough, the instrument's adaptability and effect beyond country music.

A Well Deserved Tribute

If you don't know yet, I'd like you all to know of Walter Killam of Omaha, NE, who shows the spirit and faith to which we all might aspire. On a recent trip I was invited to sit in on a local group's rehearsal, but for reasons anyone here might accept, travelling by air with my guitar was problemati...

I'd say that if, as the years go by, you continue to torture yourself for letting it go, yours was and still is a vintage guitar, and you have not , only have had , and ain't that a b----! . . . so for that, Peggy Lee saves the day: "Is that all there is? is that all there is? If that's all the...

Something Special

I have a one-of-a-kind request to make, and by its nature, I'm fully prepared to be turned down, but here it is. Is there anyone in Omaha who would either loan or rent me a E9 guitar on Friday evening, March 26? I will be visiting my brother who plays in a neighborhood group. The session is a privat...

I'd like to hear comments from anyone with this pairing, particularly on EQ settings for specific tones. I run an LDG through it and am pretty much a clean sound fan, but don't let that stop you from voicing. Thanks, and season's greetings, all!

Well, thanks very much, Joe--very kind of you, but, dang it, one of these days I've got to clear up the last name spelling issue. You just can't tell these TV media people anything!

To me, this issue has never been more than, is the pay worth the doing, and what anyone else made or didn't was none of my business. Had I ever found out I'd been cheated or stiffed--I haven't knowingly and don't lose sleep over it--I simply would not have shown up for the next gig. In my mind, peop...

With all due respect of and sadness for John Coop's passing--he helped me out more than once as he has many, I'm sure--who might be out there now for parts?

All ideas welcome.
