12th Street Rag on Steel????
Watching TV the other night I saw JoAnne Castle play 12th Street rag.Has anybody done that on STEEL? It would make a good SPEED PICKIN' number. For a "SLOW" song with a lot of "FEEL" how about "Have I Told You Lately That I Love "?Your wife would probably really like it....

Is the MUSIC of TODAY 'STEELABLE"????
With the changing music world I am wondering how many "HIT" songs of today would make good STEEL Instrumentals. In years gone bye most songs had a MELODY and that could be identifed almost immediately. Any comments???. ED Naylor Steel Guitar Works.

You must remember one thing- There are 12 notes in the music scale. You can find a note or sound on ANY guitar. Sometimes with 1 string ,sometimes 3/4 strings. In some sense Steel playing is like college. Some want a PHD, and probably can't pass a GED. A lot of pedals .knees, etc.don't necessarily make...

If I did a CD w/Maverick w/3/1 ????????
All this controversy over the "Maverick" some of my friends suggested I make a CD with a Maverick. I am not the best player in the world, but there are things that can be done with 3/1. Also I can donate the money from the 10 CDs I would sell to the Animal projects I work on. If I do this, ...

What gauge string for "Cheese Slicer"???
After such a cold boring week I had to share this. A lady called a while ago and needed a "String" to repair her antique Cheese Slicer. I gave her a .011 stainless string. I am anxious to see how long it lasts.Maybe we can salvage our old broken strings and make cheese slicers. I forgot to...

I responded to this on NON PEDAL section. AS far as I can tell I built it. The case is the question.Possibly someone took the Ozite off or maybe it was bought w/out a case. There were non controls because it was ordered thet way and a foot volume pedal was used. It came w/a 1 yr warranty, which I wi...

This appears to be a guitar I built. The Sperzel Keys and GeorgeL PU are standard. To cut cost, customers don't want all adj legs. I adj leg can level a guitar for playing. The body is Curly Maple w/inlay.I custom build all guitars and possibly the buyer wanted the Sho-Bud type Fret board. All cases ...
