Help with valuation of an '88 Zum D-10

Hello All,

how do I start to figure a for sale price on my D-10 Zumsteel. Its an 8 pedal 5 lever, built in 88.

What parts/mechanisms need to be evaluated for wear? What else?

Thanks in advance for any pointers and/or advice anyone wants to give here.

Most of a stringmaster at a music store in Austin

So my wife and I drove in to Austin yesterday to do some shopping. She got to look for clothes and I got to check out the music stores on Lamar. I got to Heart of Texas and the only steel guitar they had was an 8-string stringmaster. Well most of it anyway. I asked where the pedal board and rods wer...

Replacing rod-ends on an older Zumsteel?

Howdy all, I've got an older Zumsteel, with the pedal rods attaching straight on to the top of the pedal, instead of on the side like the current ones. That little retractable collar thigamajig that springs over the ball-hitch recepticle on the pedal has siezed up on one of my pedals. Has anybody ru...

Music stores with steel amps & acc. in Austin?

Howdy folks, while I am waiting for my Zum to come in (Big 'ol thanks there Danny!) I need to get the rest of the accessories and of course an amp to go with it. I moved out here to the Devil's Backbone in january from Houston, and have no idea where to go in or around Austin for stuff like a steel ...

PSG Instruction in central TX?

Howdy All, I'm looking for someone to give me an introductory lesson on PSG, in the central Texas area. I'm between Wimbereley & San Marcos, and I would go as far Austin or San Antonio. I don't own a PSG (YET!), so I am looking to just get behind one and see what trying to play it is like. Thank...

Information on the X pedal?

Howdy all, I'm a complete and utter newbie to the PSG, but I'm looking to own one and get to playing in the near future. I've decided I'll be going with a fairly traditional D-10, and I'd like some information about something I thought I saw being discussed in these forums - an 'X' pedal. I'm under ...
