Did any of you guys ever play with Freddie? I have only met him once in my life when I was a kid. I really like his music but don't know much about him.

I am of no importance or fame.
Yet I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Cash.
My sympathies are extended to his family, close friends, and all who have loved him.

I won't disagree with you b0b, but before I ever heard of Alabama, them Belamy Brothers done a number on their own.

Johnny and Joan are also wonderful people with real Christian principles.

If I was healthy again I would like to just to travel with them and throw rose petals on the ground in front of them to cushion their every step.

I first met Ray many years ago near California when I was working for Judy Lynn. He was TALL, skinny, BIG OL" DEEP VOICE, and it was said he'd probably never make it in 'country music'. Well... they be a oblivious differnce in 'Western Swing', huh.

This is a little known tune that I play often. Each time I play this song at a new club I am overwhelmed by people asking about it. It is a great song.

Hi Michael, I am originally from Tyler also. I was in Tyler in May 2003 and was able to visit with Pee Wee before he passed. My folks go way back in that area. I left there in 1968 to visit a small asian country at the request of my Uncle Sam. One thing led to another, and another, and another... oh...

One idea would be to follow the organized structure of the given forum being used. This topic is not related to pedal steel guitar and (in my humble opinion) should have originated in the 'feedback' area. I always enjoy Mr. Hankey's contributions, but it is difficult to respond to this question prud...

Stage fright... horrible creature that it is, I have found that I experienced when in front of professional musicians and in front a quality crowd. I have never completely found a cure for it, it sometimes helps me pay closer attention to the band as a whole. I try to focus my attention on the music...

The guitarist who 1st influenced the most was Don Rich, then when I was a little older I was futher influenced by Roy Nichols and Grady Martin. Grady was the best in his day and many would be hard pressed to match skills with him today. I can't leave out Merle Travis, Les Paul, Chet Atkins, Doc Wats...
