Why wait, do it now !

Post by Bobbe Seymour »

This forum is a blessing to the steel guitar community, it does cost money to run and no telling how much time it takes to monitor it.
Bobby Lee has given us something great here and seldom asks for much to support it.
So, how about offering to help and then doing it before he has to ask this time?
I feel this would be the supreme way to show our support for this forum and his generosity.

Think about what I'm saying here and don't let him have to ask, send him some bucks with a thank you note and I'm sure he will appreciate it much more than after he asks for it. Lets suprise him!

Think about what you are getting for what it's costing you! Entertainment, humor, news, educational value etc., I pick on bOb all the time good naturedly, yes, I give him a lot of trouble, as do some others, but I'd miss this forum awfully badly if it were gone. I think most of you guys would also.

Take care of the forum, it will take care of you.

Comon guys, you keep posting here but I don't see a lot of support for this forum! I'm not kidding this time, It doesn't cost much to say: "Thank you bOb, we appreciate this forum."

Hey, this guy is a competitor of mine and I'll support him, If I will, you should too!
It helps us all in the long run.

Bobbe, b0b, I'm in. It will be in the mail in the morning from me and a friend. Bobbe I'll be up your way Tues to see what you've got in that new store of yours especially the new videos. Boys and girls this Forum is a life line for steel players of all levels and comin on board in the last couple of years, and being a newbie to the steel world, I just can't see takin a CHANCE on loosing it or havin an annual fee attached to it. A $5.00 and up donation is cheap. FORGET the $5.00 donation just give what ever you can give. This is the best thing going especially when it's free. If this thing folds up it's back to the History channel and the Andy Griffith Show for me.I've had friends, that have played for years, tell me they didn't know the knowledge of the PSG world was so vast until the Forum came along. Look at all the information, knowledge, merchandise etc...available to all steel players thru this Forum. Didn't mean to take off on this. Off my soap box. Thanks b0b and Bobbe and all steel players that have helped me.---Kenny Ray

I am a nobody.
I am ignernt.
I am poor.

But, I like this forum, so I do send a bit to b0b occasionally.

I never expected anything in return but b0b, that good hearted 'so and so', sent me a real nice cassette tape with some very nice music on it.

Imagine that! What a nice guy...

Establishing foolproof methods of calculating monetary requirements, coupled with a watchful alarm system, would conceivably forestall any overnight disclosures, confirming an immediate shut-down, of this forum. Speaking for others, I chance to say, that any financial aberrations, referred to in abbreviated terms, should be considered all the warning we need, to prompt a quick response, and go for the checkbook.

Bobbe
I find it interesting that you consider this forum to be a COMPETITOR.

Oh, and, how do you know how much monetary support b0b gets? Just curious. When he is running low, b0b usually lets us know and we respond. That, plus the commission/donation through buy/sell seems to provide the funds he needs. Otherwise he tells us.

But thanks for the reminder. Image

Larry Bell, bOb is a "Fun competitor!" He sells strings!(Ha! Ha!) As far as waiting for him to ask?
Why always make him ask! Do you like having to ask for everything or would you rather have someone offer it to you so you don't have to ask? What if bOb got tired of asking one day and and just decided to shut this forum down?
Larry, you and I both use and have a lot of fun on this forum. A movie and popcorn and a drink would cost you $25.00, just for yourself, and that's just for two hours worth of entertainment, this forum is more fun, educational and its 24 hous a day, 7 days a week, forever, why are you even questioning me or bOb? He is very obviously a very giving, unselfish person that loves steel guitar, and I hear that you are a wonderful player, so what's the deal? Is it any on my business to try to help bOb out? No.
Thank you Larry, now send me a tape of your best stuff!(big grins) I'd do it for you!
Your friend, Bobbe

Kenny D.,

I said, we can't afford, not to afford to prevent this great forum from slipping into oblivion. Demonstrating slight traces of parsimonious tendencies, which may have derived from past frugalities of monetary management, is to be avoided. Loosening up the purse strings, is an option well worth consideration. ( Edited to try to improve errors.)

I've been laid off from my day job for over a month now, but still went ahead and ordered some CD's and added a donation as well. If I can do it, you can too!

All of you that know Mr Hanky personally know what a great and wonderful guy he is. I wish you all could know him, the northeast is lucky to have him. He doesn't talk that way in person either. He really has a real strong southern "Hill billy" accent, never uses words with over four letters.(yea, right) I still owe him an Italian dinner. A funny guy that has been putting us all on for years. His full name is " William Maurice Hanky". ( I might be wrong on this)
Has a nice ring to it though , HUH?
Anyway, I'm glad to see you guys chip in for this forum. Bobby Lee is doing a lot for us, and don't forget the thank you note.

Mr. Hanky; You or anyone else hasn't lived until they have gone with Bobbe to the Italian Lunch or Dinner, only make sure it's understood that Bobbe's going to pay for it! Image Image

Bobbe. If your taking Bill out for italian, you must get to Mass Bash, and take him to Dom's in the North End of Boston, if it's still there. Most likely 3rd generation family now.
I bet he knows it, and if he don't, would wish he did.
Shouldn't be a problem, put Brandy in the plane, and hop north. Just my cullinary 2¢.

Gentlemen,

I choose to be exceedingly tactful, whenever Bobbe Seymour's name appears on the "marquee". For a number of years, I have found him to be a man of his word. He is a generous man. I know this to be true, having been the recipient of his generosity. My intent is to go about appreciating this great man of music.
