Thanks for adding to the mix Eric. Some good light on the subject now. I appreciate the explanations. I think I get it now! Eric its been about 8 or 9 years since we drove over to Umatilla to watch you pick. I was impressed to say the least...especially with that old ShoBud with the table knives for...

ohms

OK, guess I don't get it. I just had a pup made by Emmons for my 12 string. He wound it to 20k. Was told it was because of the 12 strings vs 10. But, there has always been discussion about the high's and bassy lows etc based on ohms. If it didn't mean something, why not 15k or 25k? I'm learning some...

pup ohms

Its my understanding that B.Lawrence pups might have a different method or formula for getting an ohmage reading. Double pole system.

Is that true?

Thanks

12 string pup

Came out of an Emmons 12 string I recently purchased on Ebay. I've sent it away to be restored by Mike Cass including a new Emmons single coil. The 712W works fine I just want the Emmons PP all original http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0912/3421_001_2.jpg and have no use for the BL 712. $120.00...

Duane Becker

Just got off the phone with Duane and he said his Satellite modem crashed. He'll have a new one in a couple days. Meantime you can direct your requests to me via email and I'll pass them on.

Andy did you get the track ok?

Chalker

For anybody interested in listening to a near copy of Chalker's version of I Love You Because go to Charles Tilley's site and go to the B's and click on Duane Becker. Duane tried to copy Chalker in the first pass and came about as close as can be done, IMO. He switches between necks and does his own...

Rfd

John & Ben...I've yet to see much of a Commercial Spot, other than a plug for someone's CD or Copies of Opry shows, on any of the RFD Country Music Shows. Who pays for those? Throwing RFD Commercial requirements in with the Major Networks is a bit of a stretch don't yuh think? The approach to RF...

Mickey,

I went to the funeral and I must admit I shaved really close that day! Never saw any multicolored beards.

I actually have seen that album (there was only one).

It was a hairowing expirience.

babybacks

David's a funny, funny guy. But his ribs aren't. They're very very good. BTW A.J. I don't think that picture is of David's ribs...to much barby sauce for him. He puts just a thin line down the center.

Thanks for the bumps.

legends

Its a little after 9:00am on the west coast and for those of you with access to XM Satellite Radio, Bill Anderson's Legends of Country Music is featuring the Pedal Steel Guitar. His guests are Weldon, Loyd and John Hughey. Doesn't get much better than this. Its an hour program.
