The Profex has the Fox batteryless mod.

Jack, the noise is a loud high frequency white noise. Reseating cables makes no difference.Disconnecting the power plug from the Profex then repluging stops the noise until I play the guitar or change the Profex to another preset, then the noise starts again. In the past, in two seperate orders from a Nashville supplier, I received Emmons fret boards, the ones with silver fret markers and borders and glossy finish. I have a profex II but I'm not sure if that could be used with an MPX1,they are both processors are they not?
Just thought an MPX1 would provide a superior sound than the ProfexII. H.P.
