you may also try spraying a 1/4" plug with 'Deoxit' spray (the type that contains lube also) and inserting and removing it a few times into each input/output jack before installing the jumper cords suggested. This may help clean and lube the contacts on the inputs.

Purchased this guitar mostly due to its lighter weight (and glowing owner revues) but I quickly found that I have a bit too heavy a touch for its very light pedal action. A few too many hours on my P/P I guess.
