Yes, I've been scanning sites like Ebay and Etsy regularly but have only found one seller who sells a batch of badges that I haven't got a reply from yet regarding availability and one early 50's style block logo. I'm looking for one in the later 50's style in the signature Fender font. Thanks, Niklas

looking for a Fender tweed champ amp badge

I'm looking for a '57 tweed champ amp badge for a restoration project. One with two holes and just Fender Fullerton, California. Brown print on a metal plate. Seems to be many repros available for Deluxes but can't seem to find a good Champ badge.

Thanks,
Niklas

I’ll try some things tomorrow. For those of you that have Excels with the same set-up: what bell crank hole is used on you (upside-down) cranks?

increasing lever travel on Excel uni

I'm moving some things around on my 2018 Excel U-12. I'm having trouble getting the 1st string F#-G# raise and it seems the problem is the throw of the particular knee lever, rather than what changer/bell crank holes I use. The lever I'm moving the change to is my LKR, which is non-reversing with th...

I don't know if you have access to Paul Franklin's Method course, but he includes about a dozen or more kemper profiles on the site. Intriguing. I was signed up a few years ago, but these must have been added since then. Are these profiles created by Paul himself? What amps are they based on? Inter...

Looking for a Fender Deluxe 8

WTB a single neck Fender 8 string non-pedal. Vintage or reissue, in good shape and with functioning legs.

Preferably in Europe, to keep shipping costs down.

Jeff Surratt of Show Pro guitars did some great set-up work on my Franklin guitar a couple of years ago. I wanted some pulls added and Jeff used Show Pro parts, including bell cranks. I don’t know if he used stock parts or if he had to modify them, but they work perfectly. Check with Jeff.

I had the same problem with the C pedal on an 80's Franklin a couple of years ago. On my guitar, the C pedal's cross rod didn't move freely so loosened it, cleaned some old oil and dirt off, re-lubed and re-attached it, which solved the problem for me.

Thanks, it feels good to some more of you are experiencing this, that makes it easier for me to accept it for what it is. I actually use that change in combination with the A pedal quite a lot, but temperament and bar control makes it work. A small flaw on an otherwise, pun kind of intended, superb ...

Thanks for your replies!

I think Jim is onto something. I have worked on enough guitars before to feel confident that there’s no binding or overtuning going on. It makes sense and ’ll try what you suggested.

Thanks

Excel U-12 mechanical questions

I’m having some trouble with my 2018 Excel U-12 and I’m wondering if anyone of you Excel players will recognize this. The following is what’s up: - The 9th string B-D raise seems to make the fifth string A pedal raise go further by ~ 10 cents when the a pedal is activated. It doesn’t raise t...

Peterson Strobostomp HD question

I have a question about how the sweeteners in the Strobostomp HD are affected by changing the global concert pitch. If you use one of the Newman settings that has the E's set at 442.5, will the offsets be the same - in cents relative to concert pitch - if you change the global concert pitch? For exa...

New pedal steel jazz release

My pedal steel-based trio released a version of Swedish jazz legend Esbjörn Svensson’s ”Waltz for the lonely ones” earlier this year.

Since it seems unavailable in the US, here's a dropbox link for you.

New music out!

I just released a track with my trio. It's a pedal steel instrumental version of the late Swedish jazz giant Esbjörn Svensson's "Waltz for the Lonely Ones". It's streaming on Spotify now and I hope it's available in the US. If not, let me know. There is some licensing stuff needed for a U...

I have one and I think it does an ok job as a novelty organ simulator. However, it could have some better converters because it does add some digital ar...

Here’s another one:
