188042 is the number on the plate on the back so I am guessing that is the serial number .

even has the keys to the case still in an envelope in the compartment .

This might be in the wrong section but a friend of mine is trying to find the value of a 66 or early 67 Fender Jaguar guitar that was his brothers. I took several pictures and it is not perfect but it I really am not sure what is considered normal on a guitar that age . I do have several more pics ....

I have a friend who wants to know the year or close to it and approx value of his dads Fender lap steel . I do not see a proper thread to put this so move it if needed. It looks as if I am going to have a Gibson Melody Maker ( 1965 I was told ) and and F hole sunburst ( guessing 40's - 50's era)and a Fender Super Reverb amp to sell .Also there is a fiddle made in 1863 ( Scotland if I remember correctly)...

This brings back a lot of memories.
