I bought from this seller two plates. One for a Champ and other for a Deluxe-6. They are indeed new, I asume from an old stock. I've compared with the original parts and it looks that are genuine fender replacements. The plate of the fender champ has nº serie 8705. I doesn't think someone would be i...

Sorry for open the post again folks! Today, I noticed that there's probably a mistake in the picture shown on page 138 in Lorene Ruymar' book. I think this isn't the Jimmy Hawton quad. It looks a Carvin with the standard carvin pickups, fretboard, tunners' design ... ( see page 132 and compare this ...

Fender fretboards

I have to replace a deteriorate Fender champ fretboard. I have a lot of aluminium sheet and found a company where it could be done at a very low cost. But, How this fretboard is made, etched or silkscreened?

Thanks

6 string pickup - advice please

Hi
I need advice to replace a pickup on a 6 string lap steel.
I 've heard about the Seymour Duncan 6 string lap steel pickup, but I want to know if there are any other options or maybe some standard electric guitar pickup that could work well on lap steel.

Thanks!!

Stephan

I'm not sure. Somebody told me years ago that it was a Bill Lawrence pickup, but in the Lawrence's page I haven't seen any models like this so I don't believe that is a Lawrence.

Probably, when I talked with Ron Bennett he said what pickup was, but my english isn't good.

Sorry

Help: Pricing a guitar ( Bennett S-8)

I'm thinkin in sell my Bennett S-8 due to no use, but I doesn't know what would be a reasonable price. I received the guitar in january 2002 and was made to my specifications by Ron Bennett. I think it was one of the few console non-pedal models that he made ( he is better known by his pedal steels ...

I'm not sure if it's the same song that you say, but 12th Street Rag was played and recorded in 30's and 40's by a lot of hawaiian groups . I have almost six or seven versions of this song on my collection.
