How strange - I think Ricky posted a tab here, but now I can't see it. Any idea where that went?

Thanks Greg - I've got a lot of studying to do!
Maybe that's the version which inspired Lloyd?

Any idea how that trill on the chromatic walkdown is played - in the second iteration of the A section?

Is it a bar bounce combined with the pedal? Just the pedal?
I'm having trouble working it out.

Looking for tab for B Bowman Hop as played by Lloyd Green E9

Hi folks, I've fallen in love with Lloyd Green's version of B Bowman hop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SrGvOWf6tM which I imagine he played on his S10 E9. Anybody know how to play that very cool ornament he does on the main melody? Or seen a tab for this? In the meantime I'll be studying the tun...

Standard Copedent?

Hi Mike - I'm considering ordering a U12 with the E9/C6 lock. I emailed Mitsuo and have an idea of pricing, but I wonder if you might know a bit more about how the copedent comes set up. Is there a standard copedent he starts with? Also wondering how the knee levers are set up for access. I've seen ...

in a similar boat

Hey Baron, I'm following your quest here with some interest. I'm newer to the PSG than yourself, but have been playing a nice E9 I was borrowing from Tom Bradshaw, and more recently getting to know the C6 neck on a Dekley D10 also from Tom - I'm in love with all the possibilities, but the inconsiste...

So Bob are your 2nd and 9th strings both tuned to D when open? I guess I'd better look into C6 tuning. Any insight on a universal vs. double neck? Or would they be more or less similar? Tom has been kind enough to let me test drive this E9 before buying it, so it may be I'll want to shift my focus o...

Great ideas Bob! This is a nice one - but somehow my D lever when pressed 1/2 way lowers the second string to D, but the 9th string stays on D as well - it isn't until I press the D lever all the way that 9 goes down - but then both 2 and 9 get lowered to C# - is this set up atypically? Would there ...

Thanks everyone - this is really helpful. To clarify: the notes I'm most interested in voicing are 1, b9, 3, 5, b7 - in that order. I'm coming from flamenco guitar, and this voicing is fundamental in the genre. I'd like to see if I can get some flamenco harmonies going on here. Bengt - thanks so muc...

favorite way to play a Dominant 7th b9?

Hi folks, I'm trying to find the best way to play a Dominant 7th chord with a flat nine on my S10 E9. So far I've come up with using the 9th string as root, lowering 8 and 4 with RKL to get the flat 2/9, then getting the b7 by pressing on pedal A with the LKV to get string 5 up a half step. I'm atta...

Hey Tom, Looks pretty cool! too bad my kids trashed my lenovo pad, and my phone is ios! I've been looking for something like this and the ios app I found isn't cutting it. Can I ask you about functionality? Can I enter my copedent, and have the app tell me where to find an E7b9 chord, and it would t...

Hey thanks everyone! I lowered the rods, making the pedals lower - and it's made a big difference. No more 2x6 under my heel. Now I'm trying to decide on blocking technique. Anybody have experience with Paul Franklin's course? Seems like it might be a good idea to get my technique dialed in right fr...

Thanks a lot for the clarification and the advice Richard, I'll look into adjusting the pedal heights as you say. I think perhaps I need to wear some shoes with less sticky bottoms as well.

Much appreciated,
Dan

Thanks Dave! I don't think I can lower the pedals any more - they're right up against the bumpers there. Hey what do you mean that you have the Es on the other side? Is the chart meant to be "house right" or "stage right?" I'd assumed stage right, but maybe I'm wrong. https://bb....

intro and copedant question

Hi folks, Dan Fries here, I'm a beginner to the Pedal Steel and happy to be here to connect with you all. I've been lucky enough to connect with Tom Bradshaw, who's set me up with a Fessenden S10 E9. I've charted the copedant which I'll try to attach to this post. It's similar to this one here: http...
