It would be interesting to take a peek under both the backplate at the cavity and controls, and the fingerrest at the pickup, its mounting plate, and the bridge. There must be a reason why yours is different than most. Ask and ye shall receive! :) https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2203/20253_I...

This is extensive and awesome. I THANK YOU for taking the time to educate and inform me! That alone was worth my $5 price of admission. :) It actually sounds amazing and I just wanted to restore it to its full glory since it sounds and plays so well. I am going to have my tech guy try to put the ori...

Restoring a 1949 Gibson Ultratone - NEED PARTS!

I recently posted about getting this at an auction a few years back and never learning to properly play it... Well, now's the time and I want to try and bring it back to life. I would LOVE to know if anyone has any spare plastic headstock and hand rest(proper name?) plastic parts completely in tact ...

Sweet guitar, I had one just like it, I traded mine for a Ric B6 and I think the values are still around the same, $1500.00 ish would be my estimate. Thank you. I also checked on Reverb and there’s only 1 listed. It’s hard because I’m in LA and there aren’t a lot places to re-sell or possibly trade...

The stamping on the rear of the headstock will most likely begin with the letter "F." The serial # was really hard to read but I think I may have deciphered it. It looks like it says F7815-66. And without having the book at my disposal, this is what I could determine. I threw it in Photos...

EH-150 Pricing?

Hey there, This is a follow up to the previous message where I talked about my 1949 Ultratone. This is the other lap steel I bought at auction but never got around to learning how to play it well. Sadly, life and school got in the way so I want to let these go to someone who can take care and cheris...

1949 Ultratone Pricing?

Hey all! I am relatively new here in that I signed up years ago but never really followed through until now. I bought this Ultratone and an EH-150 a few years back at an auction because I loved the way they looked and had every intention of learning. But then schoolwork and life and getting back to ...
