Hilton Volume Pedals - you can't beat em! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Hi all. In a world of complainers and 1 to 5 star reviews, I wanted to take a moment to give props to Keith Hilton for not only making a superior product but for being the kind of man who goes above and beyond normal expectations for customer service. If you have or have played with a Hilton pedal, ...

HELP! I broke my Hilton pedal...

Hey all. First off, I did just email Hilton Electronics, but meanwhile, I'm hoping for some tribal knowledge from somebody out there... My mentor/instructor leant me a Hilton standard guitar pedal and, after more than a year of happy usage, yesterday I dropped it. It was in a little gig bag with my ...

The Positive Grid Spark was just on sale for BF/CM for $229, I nearly bought one because my Line 6 board requires high impedance headphones to sound good. You could probably find the deal on the Spark extended somewhere like Amazon https://amzn.to/3od6NGb

Pretty sweet! I've been pondering this thing for practicing around the house and even mic'ing it for playing out. I have a love/hate thing with modeling (though I own and use a Line 6 POD HD500X for effects, tuner, etc.) but the Spark just appears to put a lot in a small, light and cheap package!

aluminum rails on Carter Starter

This is a minor visual enhancement but I bought aluminum Corning moulding at Home Depot (1/2" x 1/2" x 96") and cut it to fit the two upper corners of the cabinet. I think it looks better this way than with the butted-up edges of mica laminate tops and it's more durable too. Cost abou...

Arm rest / wrist pad / loafer pad for Carter Starter

Today I built a arm rest for my Carter Starter. It's 4" deep and made with chestnut brown "tooled leather" vinyl or faux leather. It only takes two small drilled holes into the end plates to mount, which already have holes drilled for mounting the plates to the cabinet. If anybody is ...

Great idea!

Edward, you can easily make a positive LKL stop by adding a rod to the top hole (furtherest from the cross shaft) in a bellcrank on that cross shaft and run it to the changer in a hole in a changer finger that is solid such as the 7th string finger. Put a nylon tuning nut on it and you can adjust t...

Hey all thanks for your input. I imagine I will try all of these by the time I'm done. I bought the ones on eBay from weverette and they did not fit mine properly but not his fault. He was helpful in trying to find a work around. The closest thing I have found is 3/16" hex standoffs from McMast...

I'm confused. Is this topic a: a) Poll about the guitar, or b) A request for repair/adjustment information? As for if the guitar is good enough, go to YT and search for the video of Terry Crisp playing one at a convention. That should answer any and all questions on that subject. To bring clarity t...

Re: This survthread

Could be both kinds of requests. Here's the RKR rod. Very short with retaining spring. Only lowers string 2 a half-step. I this what you're looking for? https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1712/9177_20200112_180211_1.jpg Bob! Absolutely. Thank you so much. This is kinda what I expected, that it ...

Carter Starter PSG photos needed!

Hey y'all, I've got this Carter Starter I bought a couple months ago and have it just about all setup but it was missing some pull rods, so I built some replacements. However, I'm not sure exactly what the shortest linkages at the changer look like when the were originally setup. Specifically, the R...

ISO: Tuning Nuts - Are PSG tuning nuts suddenly extinct?

Hi all, I'm working on getting a Carter Starter I just bought (don't shun me) setup properly (it was a custom copedent that seems backwards and upside down from the Emmons style) and having some great success actually. Only now it's clear I'm missing some rods and tuning nuts. I got the rods taken c...

Mike, did you end up replacing the rods successfully? Were they 3/32" with a 4-40 thread and how did it work out? I need to replace one of them myself as it is missing for the RKR lever on a CS I bought. Thanks in advance!
