If you wanna see who is Rodeo Drive, www.rodeodrive.fr We live and play good ol' rock'n Roll around Paris France As far as the art work, you can check my daughter's site murals.fr And as far as the squier is concerned, I was really surprised of the quality of the sound I got from this cheap ol' guit...

An old Squier, lift the strings and set up the pickups, it works really well. I sometimes use a Bobro, but not all the times. My Rodeodrive pals are very happy with the sound of it. The decoration is from my daughter, known in the French graffiti world as Nawak. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpi...

The preamp line out works great. I used it several times. The sound guy did a great job with it.
As far as the headphone output I can only say I tried it once and it sounded good.

I'm very satisfied with my Boss RT 20
You can even hook an expression pedal to it to precisely change the rotary speed while playing.

Beautiful, what scale is it 24 ? 22.5 ?
What is the weight of this beautiful object. Shipping to France would probably be quite a lot.

Well in February I bought an Evans AH200 http://www.evansamps.com/Products/1/57/Evans-AH200-Amplifier It is really perfect for me. I use a couple of 1x12 cabinets equipped with Eminence beta 2 speakers and it does the job both with my electroacoustic gear and with the electric gear. Maybe one day I'...

The continuing story of the AH200. After 7 month of use, I am totally satisfied with this super lightweight amphead. I've been using it mainly with a couple of 12" cabinets equipped with eminence beta 12 and it sounds great rehearsing or gigging. Probably 15" speakers would give a fuller s...

Above is the link to th AH200 page. Considering that this amphead is the small end of the line, which made it easy to ship far away, I really would love to try some day the bigger end of the line build by Scot.

Evans AH200

At 63 with a bad back, I started to look for lighter gear. The Fender SteelKing is a great amp, but you know how heavy it is. So looking through different possibilities, I decided to go for the Evans AH200 head. Got it 2 weeks ago, and let me tell you I am more then satisfied. First test was in my m...

Where to find SIT or GHS semi flat strings

It's all in the title, my little George Board is stringed with those, I love it, but I can't get my hands on new string. Thank you for your help.

The scale is 22.5, the wood is walnut, with suspended maple fretboard that leave the soundboards free to vibrate. the frets are ebony inlay with abalone dots. The big issues for the luthier were the 2 seprate sound chambers and the mecanics. It is a very compact instrument, 32 inches long. I have a ...

My new travel D8

Built by Domique Chevalier, luthier in Caveirac France, a work of art and a hell of an instrument. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/1864_beckophone_2_001_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/1864_beckophone_2_002_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/1864_beckophone_...

I would suggest contacting Elva West from Tradewind Guitars, he makes a very good Stringmaster clone, maybe he has a clue on how to fix those. Furthermore he lives in Fullerton I think, or in that area, that's for sure.
Keep us posted about what you find out, that's an important matter.

My 1974 Dobro bought new in Dallas for thanksgiving of that year became vintage with me, it's not prewar but sure sounds sweet.
Keep on picking.

Very interesting thread. Now I'm just starting on this E13 tuning since I just got a 12 string BMI with ZB tuning and strings 1 to 9 are exactly that tuning. On the BMI site : www.beckmusicalinstruments.com, there is a section called ZB lessons, where Dan gives the basic facts about this tuning. Sof...

Not exactly home made, I had the idea of a D8 travel steel (acoustic, with piezo pickups), did some sketch of what I wanted, talked to a Luthier, and after a few conversation, exchanging ideas on what was doable or not doable, he built it for me. The scale lenght is 22.5. http://bb.steelguitarforum....

Great to see those BMIs. I'm getting used to mine, there is a lot of work for me cause sofar I only played Dobro (6 str, G high bass mainly) and 8 str lap, C6 : High to low G,E,C,A,G,E,C,A ; or E7+6 : E,Csharp,B,Gsharp,E,D,B,E. I chose the Zane Beck tuning cause it looked to me like a very natural e...
