I wish that Charlie Daniels would come for another tour to Germany. - I'm proud to say that I could play twice with my band THE STETSONS for him to open his show during his Germany tour in '92(?). You can find a picture on www.thestetsons.com by clicking on the blinking eye on "credentials"...

It seems that many "steelers" are using the TubeFex or TransTubeFex as a pre-amp. What else do you use besides the pre-amp. - Any more "nick-nacks" to enhance the sound or is everybody satisfied with the on-board effects? Do you find it hard to write new patches? By the way.. Tha...

Thanks folks for your interest! More optinions are very welcome!! Mike, I will contact you for sure. By the way I'm using a little Peavey "classic 30" on stage. Before that I was trying several multi effect modules and played directly into the mixer (Mackie). Volume and monitoring was/is n...

No-Amp

I'm tired dragging amps around on gigs!!! (a double neck psg is heavy enough)- even if the amp I prefer to play on stage is not very big.
Does anybody know about a sound module (maybe a multi effect) that can provide several good sounds? - Maybe in combination with a speaker simulator?

To "produce" a sound similar to Banjo I use a cloth (scarf or light towel) and place it across the 12th fret. Everything that's been "picked" above sounds banjo-like. A good friend of mine, Steve Smith, who played once in my band showed me this little trick. Judy www.thestetsons....

Hi Smitty. Try Claude Herren's homepage.
You find it in the "Steel Link" page under "Personal Websites". - He has some nice tabs beside "Steel Guitar Rag".
