Has anyone played one of these new lap steels? I see them all over the internet for $150. Opinions please.
Thanks,
Mike Winfield

Peavey tube sweetener
This is a one space rack unit, 2 channel stereo, in excellent condition. Very low hours on the 3 12AX7 tubes. This unit adds a subtle warmth to a solid state amp. I have seen these units go for $300 used. I am asking $160 which includes shipping to the lower 48's. Mike Winfield mikewfairhaven@aol.co...

Bob Lucier Music Co.?
I have a Sho-bud LDG, 3 and 5. On the underside it has a sticker that reads Bob Lucier Music Co. Missisauga, Ont., 1983. I believe that they added the left vertical knee on the guitar because it is not original. Any of you old Canadian steelers know anything about this store or this instrument? Than...

MXR Analog Delay
I was cleaning out my music room and I found an old MXR delay unit that I used to use with my electric 6-string rig many (15?) years ago. I plugged it into my steel rig in place and WOW! It sounds much warmer and fuller than my Lexicon MPX-100. I haven't used it on stage yet but it sure does sound g...

Emminence speaker ?
My Roland Jazz Chorus 120 is in for repair and the serviceman told me that the both of the EV 12" SRO's need to be reconed at a cost of $150 each. Rather than having these reconed, I am considering putting in a pair of emminance speakers because of the price and the weight of these speakers(the...

Tonight the Heartache's On Me Lick
There is a lick that begins at 0:38 that I can't figure out. It is a chord walk down to the B-flat chord. I would appreciate any help you guys could give me.

Mark I just picked up a tube sweetener on Ebay last week. I really like it.I have it set up to boost the highs and lows with a touch of compression. It makes my Nashville 1000 honk like a tube amp. I've seen on the forum that Danny Hullihan and Bobby Seymor are testing this unit. I'd like to get the...

Jeff, I picked up a Black Widow ( Liberty) Square neck on E-bay about a year ago. It is IMHO a well built, great sounding instrument. They are built down in Florida by a man named Bobby Blue(spelling?). Although it comes from the factory ready to play, I replaced the plastic nut with a bone nut and ...

Help With Reso
Just got a new Liberty Black Widow reso.Nice guitar for under $300. The tone is warm and evenly balanced but I'd like to have it just a bit brighter and increase the sustain. I'm using "E" tuning with Pearse medium bronze strings. It has a plastic nut, birch saddle, and a spun cone(not a Q...

I just got back from the Michigan steel show in Grand Rapids(great show!) and I took an all day seminar that included 2 hours with Gary Morse(Dwight Yokum's steel player). He used the POD unit with a Nashville 1000 and an old Sho-Bud. IMHO it was the best sounding rig of the entire weekend which inc...

Has anyone put together the reso kit offered by Janet Davis? Is it similar to the Resophonic Outfitters kit? I would appreciate any and all feedback.
