Transformer hum

Hello friends, Just wondering...I have an older Black Box with the Vari-Z Control and an attached power supply made by Motorola. There is a discernable hum in the transformer not the Box when you plug it in. I don't really remember that in past Black Boxes I've had. Any one notice this, too, or has ...

Emmons Denim model question

Hello Friends...I have a question I could use some help with. A friend of mine has a 1978 Emmons Denim model. It's a S10 with 3 and 4. I haven't come across many of these and so I don't know if it is a special model...it is the lacquered model so that helps but he has no case for it. He is wondering...

Your E66

Hello Mr. Hyde
I would like to take one of your pickups. If I had my druthers and it makes no difference to you I would pick the one on the left in your top picture. I'm assuming it has the three tabs, too. I will wait to hear from you. OK.
Best Regards,

Please close...Donation on the way.Thank You..sho bud pickup

Hello Fellow Steelers..I have a mid 80's Sho~Bud pickup for sale. I changed it out recently just for the hell of it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is in used but fine condition with plenty of wire to snake down into your guitar. I'm asking $65.00 and I can ship for 12 dollars but yo...

Hey, Dan...Then you know exactly what I am talking about...this pickup does have a nice edge to it...I can also see why you would want to replace that other pickup...if it doesn't sit directly under the strings I would imagine some degree of volume and tone might suffer...at least a bit. Glad you ar...

Hello Chuck, Mike Heaphy here...I am interested in your E66 pickup but I have a question or two , if I may. I would need the narrow version of this pick-up and does it still have all the screw holes on it...especially the 2 north and the one south one...that would match the old Sho~Bud pick-up I hav...

It might have been a filter envelope, those were making waves early 70’s. i’m hearing some flange on acoustic guitar too, that was new wave back then also. Lovely song I have never heard that before. Thank you, Larry, I never thought of an envelope. I had never used one and I will have to try t...

Pretty sure it's Sneaky. Don't believe Pete Drake played on that album at all. (Did he actually play on any of Linda's albums?) Is it possible you're confusing "Sneaky Pete" (Kleinow) with Pete Drake? You are correct, Jim. I did get them confused and it makes more sense being Sneaky...Tha...

According to Wikipedia it's "Sneaky Pete" Kleinow, not Pete Drake. Before recording the album, Ronstadt hired guitarist Glenn Frey to assemble a touring band; Frey did so with members of drummer Don Henley’s band Shiloh, who were signed to Amos Records at the same time as Frey’s previ...

It's Sneaky Pete, recorded live at the Troubadour, March 1971. UPDATE: I see B0b just beat me to posting the same thing. This, per the never-wrong internet. But it actually sounds like Sneaky Pete to me, so I'm going with the net on this one. He's got more swirly, trippy effects in his arsenal than...
