I contacted Hudson concerning the model that had wooden legs. Here is an excerpt from the reply:
"That was an experimental excursion that ended up being discarded. I think they were too unstable and unreliable. Those were built and sold by Johnny King. My name is Hardin, owner of HUDSON."

Do any of you who use one of these for steel use the drive control? It seems that if you don't turn the drive up a little then it's not loud enough.

Leveling the loudness of a steel over it's frequency range
Can anyone suggest a link to an example of a band playing with an ongoing distortion guitar and a pedal steel playing at the same time?
Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the comments!
What I'm up against is a very distorted guitar playing arpeggios when he's not playing fills.
Is there an adjustment or an effect that will cut through the distortion guitar?

Bob
Hi Bob Hoffnar,
I'm playing live through a PA, while streaming live online.
The problem is the engineer and it's not me.
Do you have any more ideas?

Leveling the loudness of a steel over it's frequency range
Does anyone know how to compress the loudness of the steel throughout it's frequency range?
If any notes stand out on the mix, then the loudness of those notes becomes the new steel level in the mix.

MSA "The Universal"
Hi David W,
I bought the MSA "The Universal" from Tom Johnson who also lives in Arlington. He bought it from a guy that had purchased it from Reece Anderson and had been taking lessons from him. Tom said he had bought it, but never used it.

Where are all of the MSA Catalogs and Flyers?
There should be a catalog somewhere of this info.
I'm specifically searching for pics and info on my
MSA XL (NOT Super Sustain!) "The Universal".
