Hi JR, any interest in selling that 15" Telonics 4 Ohm? I'm looking to pair a 15" 4 ohm with a Peavey Musician Amp that I just got running. I have a cabinet already started for a 15" speaker. What would be your price? Thanks

Line 6 Pod XT or X3. Multiple effects, headphone output, standard guitar input. Can run a standard USB printer cable to your computer and play along with iTunes or YouTube or whatever you like. Have to find one used, no longer in production. https://southcoast.craigslist.org/msg/6003867991.html Tha...

LOL, I never even thought to look - my Line 6 Spider IV 75 amp has both a headphone jack and MP3 input on the back. Guess I'll try that first and see how it works although I haven't found a decent steel sound with that amp yet, worth a shot for practicing. Now, back to the headphones, any other sugg...

Headphone amp ideas?

Hi, I'm looking to put together a headphone amp set-up for practicing on my steel. It could either be an all-in-one device or made up of separate pieces. I'd like an input for an MP3/cd/smartphone, input for the steel, reverb for the steel (I don't own a reverb stomp box at this point), mixer and he...

Seat legs?

Looking for a source to buy a set of Pack seat type legs. Thinking of building my own seat, can find everything else but the legs. Thanks!
Would also consider a used set if you have a trashed seat and want to sell.

Help Please

Damir, could I ask a favour? I am rehabbing an MSA D12 (just the E9 for now). When I bought it it had an unknown copedant. I'm getting ready to reinstall the cranks and rods. Could you please post a photo showing a side view of the E9 cranks so I can see which holes to use and also the end plate? Mu...

Wow, those are really some crappy legs! I can't vouch for this eBay seller but his look nice. http://www.ebay.com/itm/291107484363?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT[/quote I bought a set of these for my MSA D12 project that I got missing the legs. So far they seem to be...

Re: Thank you for coming to the quarterly meeting

Hi Deane, Give it hell on your MSA. I`d love to see you playing it at the next meeting June 12th. Thanks Manny. It has stiff competition with some other projects, some of which are closely managed by my wife, LOL. I plan to be there though. If the steel makes it, I'd love to have you and the other ...

Thank you for the replies, guys.
Lane, that sounds good. Would I be at a disadvantage if I put it on the 4th pedal position instead of 0 (I already have them mounted in positions 1-4)? I can move it if it would be better on 0.

Ideas for 4th pedal?

I'm plugging away at my MSA Classic D12 resurrection. As I told you all before, I bought it minus legs, pedals and pedal rack. I was able to buy 4 pedals and I have the rack just about finished. For now, I'm just going to put it together with the Extended E9 neck, so I have plenty of extra cranks an...

Strictly speaking from my experience buying used stuff, you're in the good position buying from someone who inherited it and knows nothing about it, here's what I'd do: If you can and feel comfortable doing so, bring cash with you when your friend goes to check it out with you. If all is well, offer...

Re: Msa D10

My biggest question which is one seems is a popular one is " what year is it?" serial# is 20389. Does that mean anything to someone in the know? Take another look at your serial #. I think that it should be 2C389. There is another thread that dealt with MSA serial #, I would search for th...

Mine was a 1974 that came with single coils, I had to route out the cavity with a drem to fit the E66, otherwise you are stuck with the originals...Recce Anderson explained that to me via email and said it was the most popular mod to that guitar series. The wide mount pick-ups came in later years I...

Just make sure you get the wide mount. There are two mounting standards for pickups. Narrow mount have the screws on the ends (Mullen, Bud and I assume Show Pro and Jackson), while the wide mount has the screws on the sides (Zum, MSA, Fessy, Rains, Emmons and almost everyone else). Some have the mo...

Thanks Greg. Sharp guitar, btw.
Can't wait to get mine going but I'm taking my time to do it up nice, plus all the competition from my 'honey do' list.

Pickups

Do the upgraded pickups you all mention fit in the stock cavity of the original single coil? I have my D12 stripped down, buffed and puffed and almost ready to reassemble; maybe I should add a new pu while I'm in there spending my $ :)?

I hope he finds what he needs, but if he gives up, I'd be interested in buying any extra pedals or other parts he can't use. Just throwing that out there.

Hmmmm....maybe they aren't the original speakers? I would first look at the wiring: On mine, the cable from the output jack goes to one speaker and then a pair of wires jumps between the two speakers. The + of both are connected together, as are both -'s, which means they are in parallel. With yours...

Thanks for asking this Dustin, I was wondering the same myself. I have a Peavey Mace that I bought new in 1981, back when I was much younger and before 2 disk surgeries. The Mace is the same as the Duece but it has six 6L6 tubes (160 watts) instead of four (120 watts). I have the schematics, that is...
